For what was once a private garden it is amazing. Absolutely enjoyed the variety of garden styles. The lake view was an added bonus. Take time to notice that you can hardly hear the waterfall if you sit behind it on the very comfortable chairs.

A FREE hidden gem. The garden is meticulously planned and cared for. If you like pretty things go to the West Garden. You can ride your bike from Two Rivers or Manitowoc as it is right on the bike path that connect the 2 cities. Worth an hour of your time!

The beauty of the West of the Lake Gardens will have you strolling the grounds in a daze. The variety of flowers is so pleasing to the eye you almost forget the beautiful backdrop that is Lake Michigan. The attention to detail in this six acre paradise is incredible. No fee. No donation box. It's all cared for and funded... More

Free! A lovely garden with colorful annuals and perennials beautifully maintained and designed. Our children loved the walk through the gardens and even got to feed the fish in the koi pond. (I don't think this is typical. We just happened to walk by at the point when the gardeners were feeding them). I would have enjoyed signs naming the... More

Whether you are driving along Highway 42 or biking on the Mariners Trail, a stop at the West of the Gardens is a must. Thanks to the West family and the foundation for giving patrons a beautiful self-guided tour of these well-groomed gardens. If you didn't know you were in Wisconsin, you would think you're in another part of the... More

I try to visit a few times each year to walk the gardens and read. The lake view is fantastic even on a cloudy day and the landscaping is always perfect, much love and care is put in every day. I tell everyone I know to stop and enjoy!

We were here in May so the spring flowers:tulips etc were blooming. The grounds were very well groomed. A delight to walk around through the different gardens and see lake Michigan in the background. They were planting roses when we were there-I can imagine they will be gorgeous. We spent about 1/2 hour there. The bathrooms were beautifully decorated too--tile... More

What a lovely garden! We went to check the prong display and it's just a teaser of the beautiful things to come. We visited a couple times last year and it was gorgeous. It's extremely well tended, right on the shores of Lake Michigan, and, are you ready...it's free! What a gem!
