Stopped on my way home from Packer game...didn't have time to wait for sub tour. Interesting displays of WWII submarine service. A large area devoted to ship building and engines in the Manitowoc area. I should have spent more time here.

This is a very well done museum. Our tour of the Sub, The Cobia, a WWII award winning vessel was conducted by Alex. He is a young man who is passionate about this submarine and so knowledgeable. We were totally impressed with his presentation. The...More

I have been here before but my husband had not and he wanted to visit and especially go into the Cobia. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. We both had a great time.

Spent about half a day walking through the museum and the USS Cobia. Lots of models of ships and information about shipwrecks in the lake. The sub tour is a little tight and you will have some narrow hallways and climbing along with getting through...More

If you have never been on a submarine, and want to literally experience a piece of history, come and stay over night, and tell your friends and family about the experience you had !

This is Manitowoc's claim to fame so you may as well go see it. At least it's worth the stop. The museum has just enough cool stuff to look at before you get to the really good part which is actually GOING ON THE SUBMARINE!...More

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is a jewel! The highlight is the tour of the submarine USS Cobia, but I also enjoyed the lower level and it's replica of a 19th century street in downtown Manitowoc.

We had an amazing morning at the museum. The gal that took us on the tour of the submarine was awesome. The exhibits are cool, but give an extra hour for the sub tour. Well worth it.

The sub tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. We recommend 2-3 hours to fully explore the museum and take the sub tour.
