Came up here for some hiking and had a great time walking around (but there were lots of mosquitos). Enjoyed the little nature center and this looks to be a great place for winter skiing/snowshoeing.

We hiked the bog trail as well as another longer trail in the same area as the bog trail. Nice trails and nice forest. The boardwalk through the bog was not very long, but the bog was nice. We did not see any carnivorous plants in the bog area. The boardwalk will be repaired soon as it has deteriorated some.... More

Participated in the local triathlon but visited the Discovery Center too. My children enjoyed it, lots to see and do. We've also been in the past and used the snow shoes, what an awesome trip that was!

I have fond memories of this place from when I was a kid. The support the community, and have a great daycare. If they're putting on an event you should go. Great atmosphere and a fine community institution

A great place to explore the north woods on trails, by canoe, snowshoeing, etc. There are lots of great nature programs for kids and adults. Also a breathtaking venue for a rustic wedding.

The Discovery Center is a little gem in the heart of the Manitowish Chain of Lakes. It is a four season hub of activity with a nature center for kids, well groomed outdoor hiking and biking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing trails; on-going classes and seminars; space available for over-night stays as well as for weddings and baquets; all seated...
