This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

This a great way to enjoy the lake shoreline and get to see the beautiful gardens and houses. Thanks to the generosity of the house owners who respect the old Indian way of right treaty for the shoreline path it is possible to have access to most part of the lake shore.

Take part of the walk through the front yards of mansions on Lake Geneva. Great views of the lake and beautiful homes. You can walk around the whole lake in about 10 hours. But you can also do a morning walk for 1 to 2 hours. And the best part is that it's free.

Of course I had the grand idea of starting our walk at 4 AM, but before you knew it ... 7:30AM and the rain is getting heavier and heavier--but no lightning. So off we went, wife, me and the best hiker out of our elite group: Annie the Dachshund (no stranger to hikes and not bothered by rain--a trooper). I... More

It appears every homeowner along the lake maintains their own path, thus many terrains. Be careful with the changes and ups and downs. Beautiful houses and beautiful views.

We have walked about 2/3 of the shoreline path over the years. Always an adventure! Some parts of the path are challenging while some are very easy. Always a great view of Geneva Lake and thr historic houses along the path.

we walked around the lake and enjoyed the beautiful homes and exercise. Was a little disappointed that there is not public transportation along the way to take you back into town. After an hour and half we turned around and walked back. Would have loved to walk around 3 hours in one direction and then take taxi, shuttle or bus... More

The nature trail around the lake is incredibly beautiful, but is not for the faint-of-heart. The path around the lake is made up of some pavement but mostly flagstone, bricks, primitive walking paths with tree roots everywhere, steep hills and slippery conditions. We are in our 60s and it took us 8 hours to complete the 21-mile path. Several reviews... More

My boyfriend and I visited Lake Geneva for a day trip this past weekend. We decided to check out the Path and it was absolutely beautiful! It's just a simple path behind people's homes. Some parts are paved and some are not. This path is definitely not accessible for someone with a disability since there are so many hills and... More

If you like spying on the rich and famous, this is the hike for you. Walk through people's backyards and peer into their homes; wherever they have not used expensive landscaping to block your view . Reflect on how poor you really are since most of these are second homes. weird
