This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

This path is truly delightful, winding slowly across private estates that otherwise could not be viewed. Amazing lake views, with a lovely mix of natural & landscaped paths. You can spend 10 minutes or 10 hours walking the path. Each estate has it's own path materials. Some are paved, some adorable flagstone, some dirt with tree roots showing through -... More

My husband and I like to walk the path and we have a few times now over the last 2 years. We start from the city of Lake Geneva, Williams Bay and Fontana. They all have a different character, different homes along the path,,,,different foliage, and depending on which time of the year, a completely different experience.

I have walked around the lake a few times in the past few years, a long walk. The path from Williams Bay to Lake Geneva is a good couple hour walk. Residents are friendlier and the path is better taken care of overall. Only a few sets of stairs to navigate. Parking in the Bay is free and it is... More

If you like walking this is really great. A different walk in the backyard of a lot of properties which gives you a great idea of the lake and the living next to it. Plan a little in advance how far you want to go, it changes so quickly that if you are not careful you keep on going around... More

This is a lovely way to spend part of an afternoon! The walk along the Lakeshore crosses stunning private properties, whose owners keep up their section of the path for the enjoyment of the public. Although you cannot traverse the entire lake (due to some shore construction), we still found it a great way to pass the time on a... More

Save a little of your time for a walk along the Geneva Lake Shore Path. Pick up a copy of the walk and gawk book that detail the beautiful homes along the pat.

My friend and I walked from Williams Bay to Lake Geneva. It seemed like hardly any time past and when I looked at my watch we were on the trail for three hours. The walk was beyond spectacular! The homes on this part of the path are amazing! However, at this time of year the gardens closely rival the fabulous... More

For me, the path is pretty much THE Reason to come to Lake Geneva. The path snakes the entire length of Lake Geneva – I want to say for something like 22 miles or something around it. We usually only do two to six miles at a time though. The path is narrow, well marked and unbelievably meanders through peoples... More

What a great way to see all the amazing properties that surround the Geneva Lake. It a very long walk. If you plan to walk the entire lake bring water and a phone. And Start early in the morning. Enjoy!

This s a nice walk on the lake to look at the water and the very large lake homes. The path is very variable since it is over private land and everyone has their own walking surface. This make it impossible to bike and a little tricky to run on. It is great for a walk though.
