This is a tiny but very sweet beach just down the road from main street in La Pointe. Good for skipping rocks and building sandcastles (kids). The best thing is is, there are gorgeous sunsets here, and it's quiet and peaceful at this time of day (parents).

We needed a parking place and we found it here at Joni’s beach, right in front of the house of our kayak instructor.
We enjoyed the flowers and relaxed on the bench, watching the waves. There was quite a breeze and the sand was quite pleasant.
After relaxing on this beach, we decided to explore the town. It was quite a pleasant experience.

This beach is located right in town, great location for a quick swim. If you are looking to spend the day at the beach, you really want to head over to the town park! It's amazing and free!

Small but very convenient beach id toy are staying in La pointe. The kids loved it and it has a beautiful sunset view of
Mainland Wisconsin.

This was a good place for your group to venture out from. It's about 1/2 mile from the Ferry and is within walking distance. The island has lots of history for history buffs, but the beaches can be duplicated on the mainland at Bayfield, Washburn, and Ashland. I would recommend the beach at Herbster for rock hounds.

Very nice spot and has a view of Lake Superior that is fantastic. Make sure you stop here for a look on the island.

Stopped here to enjoy a picnic along the shore of Lake Superior. Very pleasant! Clean. Restrooms nearby. Beach nearby. Shops nearby. Nice parking lot. Great views. Convenient.

This little beach is just a few blocks from the ferry. Too bad the lake it just about always too cold for swimming! Still nice to sit and watch the boats!!

Nice little -- and I stress LITTLE -- beach just down the road from the main business area. Clean beach it rocky and not much to look at.
