We had storms coming through on Thursday where we originally had a planned power boat ride out to devils island and then a kayak excursion through the sea caves. They set up a separate time Wednesday morning to be able to get us in while in the area. Chaz was our driver and we were a little worried about the waves that morning while heading out. We stopped at raspberry island to see the lighthouse and he gave us the option of checking out some of the closer in island because of the weather but we decided to at least give devils island a try. I am so glad we did. The sun came out and became a beautiful day. He gave us a nice outer rim tour of the island in the boat then brought us to a rock shelf on the eastern side of the island where he set up our kayaks and we were able to explore the beautiful sea caves. We spent some quality time there also swimming in the lake. On the way back we stopped off at another island for a peek and listened to him tell stories on the way in. Also stopped by a shipwreck that was cool to see. A wonderful trip very well done by the company. Our group had a blast

I cannot say enough good things about this place!

After having a horrible experience at Apostle Islands Kayaks just down the street from this place, we were blown away by this business! They were very helpful and were able to squeeze us in last minute after getting chased away from the previous places for wearing our masks. The ladies (Francis, Danielle and a few others who I didn’t get their names) were well educated on kayaks and the lake and made for an amazing time out on the water. They were patient and did a great job at helping everyone out no matter the skill level. I felt like we were best friends by the time the tour ended. I would definitely book through them again!

It has been over a year and still think of our vacation to Madeline Island. While we were on the island, Adventure Vacations rented out family a boat for the week and could have not been more impressed. Not sure where to start as everything they did was above our expectations. On our first day they walked us to the boat and went over every safety feature for the boat and then every other little thing we could possibly need to know, just in case. We started to talk about our plans for the week and they immediately took out a market and started mapping out good places, dangerous places and so much more. They cared more about our safety than the boat and it was impressive. Every night and every day they reached out to us to talk to us about the weather and where they recommended going just in case we had no idea ok where to go. I think we put the most miles on the boat than any other family and loved every second of it. Thank you!

We booked an afternoon, sea caves kayak tour at the end of July. While our guide was great, the overall experience was disappointing. There was no safety information given at the boat launching site regarding tandem or solo kayaking. There was no instruction provided on the proper fitting of a PFD. No PFD's were checked after people had them on.

My feeling is that 10-15 knot winds were pushing the limits of everyone's skills and abilities. As a result, it wasn't safe to get close to any of the sea caves due to the reflecting waves bouncing off the rocks.

Being in a solo boat, it was challenging to manage the swells and wave action. While I didn't panic, I was glad I brought my own ditch kit. Next time I'll check the marine weather forecast before entrusting it to this guide service.

The owner and guide were awesome. Unfortunately the sea caves were unremarkable. The sea caves off of the mainland and accessible from Meyers Beach were so much better. We were told that access to the beach for our tour on the island was in a state park. Our choices were to walk two miles to get the beach and have free parking or park at the state park and risk having to pay an annual park pass for Wisconsin. What we didn't realize was that an annual pass for out of state seniors was 38.00!!

We did the 4 hour Devil's Island boat tour and it was amazing! Our tour guide, Chas, took us out and even though it was cold the water was calm and we had a great trip. We saw a shipwreck near the shore, explored Raspberry Island and the lighthouse, and then on to Devil's Island. Since the water was so calm we were able to go inside the caves and see them close up. Chas navigated us like a pro and had great stories and facts to tell us about the islands and the history of the people who once lived and worked on the various islands. I highly recommend this tour! It's a small group so you get a personalized experience.

We had an awesome boat tour of the Apostle Islands with our guide Chaz. There were 5 of us on the boat (and one very well behaved dog), along with the guide. We were supposed to go out at 9am, but threatening weather pushed the tour back to about noon. They were very accommodating of the schedule change, and if that timing hadn't worked out for us, we would have received a full refund.

We saw an old shipwreck, toured the lighthouse on Raspberry Island (very interesting), and then the highlight was cruising around Devil's Island. Lots of really interesting sea cave, and Chaz took us right into many of the caves and through some tunnels. Kind of fun to watch the larger boats (some with 200 people on them) to just cruise around from a distance, not nearly as close as we were - we definitely chose the right option for a cruise. After Devil's Island, we did a short stop at an old fish camp, and then cruised back to Bayfield. About 4 hours in total, the time went fast, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice group of people on the boat and Chaz was really fun - and answered all of our questions about the islands. Could not recommend Adventure Vacations enough, they were great.

We booked 4 hours boat trip for Monday but we got call on Sunday evening that our trip has to be canceled because of Captain’s family emergency.
But we had our trip on Monday! The owner of Adventure vacations Karen got in touch with another cruise company and reschedule that trip for us.I have to say it was Sunday evening and Karen used her personal time to take care of us to be sure we get that boat trip(with another company! not with her own).We got quick refund for canceled boat trip from Adventure vacation.
No matter what we did not go with Adventure Vacations (but we did it really with their help :)) we got personal care and attention like a family!
I highly recommend the Adventure Vacations for boat tour.
I want to say Olivia from Adventure Vacations very attentive and she answered all my questions about the boat tour.

I rented one of the inboard cuddy cabin boats for a single day. This was a great trip and was way better than expected. It might seem expensive, but compared to the longer kayak tours and boat cruises, it is way worth it. This is especially true if you have 3 or more people. I was able to land on 7 islands, see 4 different lighthouses, and get up close and personal to the sea caves at both Sand Island and Devils island.

Pro tip: bring snorkel gear and/or some sort of inflatable floatation toy (kayaks, tubes, paddle boards) so you can anchor up and go in the caves if it's a nice day.

We took the 5 hour devil’s island boat/kayak tour in early July. The weather was chilly but we were still able to enjoy our time on the water. We enjoyed learning about the history at the Raspberry Island lighthouse. Once we got to Devil’s island we were able to explore the rocky edge by foot while our captain inflated our kayaks. We explored the sea caves for about an hour. Our captain took us to the north end to explore the largest caves. Unfortunately the waves were too large to explore these caves via kayak. Throughout the tour there wasn’t a question our captain couldn’t answer.

Overall it was a great experience where we got to see most of the islands. It was fun to talk to the park volunteers that were at Raspberry Island as well. For us it was worth the money.
