A Martha Stewart American Made 2015 Finalist and Lake Superior Magazine's Best of the Lake - Wisconsin - gift shop - 2015 & 2016. Madeline Island Candles are made from good, old-fashion, earth grown soybeans to create an environmentally friendly candle. Soy wax candles are longer, cooler and cleaner burning without soot buildup. The soy wax that we use is renewable, biodegradable, and grown in the USA. And try our 100% beeswax, handpoured taper candles.

I highly recommend you visit this shop for incredible year around gifts. Not only is there a wide selection of merchandise, but the staff is very friendly and willing to explain the entire process in elaborate detail, which makes the purchase even more interesting with a fun story to tell others.

I love candles and I love to smell candles... we stopped in here and smelled some amazing soy candles. I bought several and was so excited to get them home and light them.

From the walkway through the gardens, one enters a beautifully appointed shop that invites you to experience these unique and wonderfully scented candles. Browse through the various sizes from the votives to the travel size and on through the pillars. The friendly staff invites you to watch the candle-making process as your eyes travel to every corner of the store. This is much more than just a candle shop.

Good verity of different candles.Very friendly and helpful staff.It is hard to pick from so many different scents :))
I bought two small sets of candles and very pleased with scents and burning time.Tiny Candle, Big Fragrance! It's burning slowly and evenly - no burning down in the center of the candle. The fragrance is most concentrated in the room I'm burning it, but it can be subtly smelled on the other end of our house.

Madeline Island Candles has some of the best and most unique candles I've ever experienced. Staff was showing us how they make their candles too! Wish I would have had more money to spend!!

Spent over an hour between walking through the gorgeous well tended gardens with all kinds of lush perennial flowers, then up to the entrance of the lovely candle shop.
So much to choose from, such a wide inventory including homemade soaps, note cards, candle holders, birdhouses, and many other unique items.
My favorite were the jar candles which will serve as gifts as well as gracing my home.
The employees are most helpful, and everything I bought was wrapped as a gift.

They now have their own shop, right by the ferry dock. Nice people, and their candles are my favorites. The little ones in the tins are a bargain at only $7.50 each, and the scents are wonderful (and not too strong).

We've bought several of these and they smell terrific. Ripe Apple is my favorite. These are not overpowering like other brands. Love the yellow flicker logo for Madeline Island. Can't wait Til new location opens.

Appreciated that this store was actually open mid-october. They offered candles, soaps and some logo shirts. Cute store.

Smells great. Had a lot of options for sizes and styles of candles. Offers shipping. Love the cherry blossom soap. The molds are so beautiful. Just a tad pricey but a great little shoppe.
