    Glad we went to Dahl's
Small but nice auto museum. It is focused primarily on Ford products, but a few other manufacturers are represented. The cars are all in beautiful condition and it gives a good idea of the evolution of cars over the years and some of the features that did not make it into modern cars.

Great smaller museum for those who enjoy cars
My teenager son really likes cars and LOVED this smaller museum, especially the Ford GT Lamanz, the De Tomaso Pantera, and the Jeep Willy, among others. Great variety of cars that the Dahl family has collected. The worker there was quite knowledgeable, too. Took our time looking at each car and reading the information for each, and spent a little under 1.5 hours there.

Best Place to Visit in La Crosse
Our Mississippi River cruise included a stop at La Crosse, and the tour bus took us to the museum, which had opened early because of our boat's schedule. It was a lot of fun to see the old cars, read their descriptions, and see the artifacts that were cleverly placed nearby. This was the only time that I'd been to La Crosse, and I'm very glad that we went to the museum (which I hadn't known about beforehand).

    A Classic Experience1
Great experience! I took my 87 year old father. He was able to tell me the make and years of all the classics. He was able to go through memory lane with cars that he and his friends or relatives owned. Other families were there with children who were sitting in the seats of some of these amazing cars. It was just the right size museum for us to enjoy in about 1 hour.

    Great auto museum
We met another couple from LaCrosse that strongly recommended the Dahl Auto Museum. It was a truly great experience. While most of the cars were Ford products, all looked like they just came off the assembly line. Very clean and highly polished. Nicely displayed and each described with a plaque. I would go back again!

    Great classic cars
We visited on Saturday, June 8, 2013. This is on one of the main thoroughfares in La Crosse. At the entrance is a docent/guide who collects your $4.00 adult admission fee. The first car you see is one of the first Fords this family dealership sold in 1912. Then you can go through the years of classic beautiful automobiles. I was taken in by the cars of the 1950s and the Lincoln that was the same model as President Kennedy's car in Dallas in 1963. You could spend about two hours here if you inspected each car and read each description and timeline. We spent about 45 minutes. Well worth the time and money.

    Starts conversations with your kids
We were visiting La Crosse and was looking for something that pre teen and teen age boys would like to do on a steamy, rainy afternoon. I tentatively asked them if they would like to go see "Classic" cars and was overwhelmed with their enthusiasm. They enjoyed the Dahl Auto Museum and surprisingly, I did as well. When we got to the 1930's style car with the "suicide doors" our oldest exclaimed, "This is so O.G.!" (Original Gangster) according to him these doors made it easier to kick people out of the car after you shot them (not sure of how he knows this). When you come to visit plan on spending around an hour. It can be a lot of fun if you come with an open mind and are willing to be a bit playful such as playing Which car would you pick to take home and why? The above teen boy was torn between the 1930's gangster car or the 67 Mustang, That surprised me. Of course, he could not have the Mustang because his mom already called dibs on it. ( And that surprised him!)

    So neat!
Only $4 admission, and that goes to charity. Sam, the guide, was friendly, knowledgable, and even encouraged us to get in one of the cars so he could take pictures of us! So many neat old cars, with information about most of them. They have a much larger collection and rotate cars in and out. Amazing fact - all of the cars are kept in working order! Sam also helped us with a map to plan the rest of our visit, choose a restaurant to eat, and encouraged us to tell our friends with classic cars to plan a big trip down to La Crosse to visit! Thanks Sam!

Tour guide was a great resource!
I had seen other reviews for this auto museum online and thought that it would be a great time for my whole family. In addition to my husband and I, we have two teens and one younger child. All five of us enjoyed the museum. Not only did we learn some things about the cars on display and ways of classifying mascots (hood ornaments) but we got a few interesting historical frames of reference also! We spent about an hour and a half there, and with the low cost of admission, it was a good bargain!

Stopped by the museum on 10/31. Not a very large place (about the size of an average auto showroom floor) but it was packed with an amazing assortment of cars. The quality of the cars was outstanding. Our tour guide that day, Sam, was very knowledgeable and full of interesting tidbits of car history. The fact that the Dahl company keeps this open to the public at such a reasonable fee ($4.00 for adults - $3.00 for seniors) says a lot about them. You could get through the attraction very quickly but if you take your time and really look around and read the descriptions about each car, you could spend more than an hour or so. Very worth the time and very enjoyable. Sam was also helpful in suggesting other things to do in town and places to eat. Highly recommend.

If you like classic cars in perfect condition, you will like this place. This museum also covers some local history as well as auto history. Our tour guide, Sam, did a great job and was a font of knowledge on what else to see and do in the area. The museum isn't huge so can be a quick stop, or a long stop if you want it to be. Very glad we stopped and highly recommend it to others

A Beautiful collection of fully restored classic autos, mostly Ford. See 100 years of automobile evolution in one place. The museum is not real large but the quality of the collection makes up for it. The staff is friendly, the cars are displayed so you can get right up close for a good look, and the admission price is only $4:00. Thanks to the Dahl company for making this fine collection available at such a reasonable price.
