A great place to take my family. Both of my daughters wanted to try a soda from the counter. They both ordered the Cherry cokes. They were in awe watching the "soda jerk" make their treats. They are very good. They also have homemade chocolates and imported candies. As well as ice cream. It is definitely a step back in... More

The chocolate candy was to die for. They also have an ice cream type soda shop in it. They sale individual chocolates but it's easier to buy 1/2, 1, or 2 pound boxes. Assorted bags for a pound cost right about 20.00 with tax. Well worth the time and money so go to North Lacrosse. Parking is super easy and... More

Stopped here because it was next to Maid Rite. Blew our minds, ice cream, candy, home made candy, even booths to sit in and enjoy. Old-time place, not a brass & glass modern shop at all, more like a 60's malt shop. Friendly employees, dont miss it.

The ice cream and candy is the all time best in LaCrosse. I have been here many times and every time I am pleased with the service and treat!

After our visit to Maid-Rite, it seemed only natural to stop next door at The Sweet Shop. We had an ice cream cone and a malt. Both were good. Lots of homemade chocolates. We were tempted, but didn't have any. A great stop on a hot afternoon.

If you want a homemade treat, then this is a sweet place to visit. The Sweet Shop is an icon on the north side of La Crosse. It has the feel of the old-fashioned candy shop because that is exactly what it is! Opened up in 1921! They have homemade ice cream and with lots and lots of homemade, hand-dipped... More

Bill and Chad and their crew make some of the best tasting chocolates you'll find. They use the finest ingredients to make great tasting candy and ice cream. You'll not find a better tasting Butter Pecan ice cream anywhere! This is a must stop when in the La Crosse area.

What a delightful place ! real malts, fresh hand made shakes. The hard ice cream was really good ( I had Blue Moon ) and this only half of the action. Other side of the place is so so many kinds of Chocolates... worth the time to go out of your way

I grew up in LaCrosse and this is definitely the place to go for hand-dipped candies, ice cream, and (old-time penny) candy you can't find anywhere else. Lets not forget the 'To-Die-For' Chocolate Malts. They beat the prices anywhere in the tri-state area. Love the Sweet Shop! A must stop when in LaCrosse visiting........

the Sweet Shop is the best place in LaCrosse to go if you are looking for the best chocolate. It is the oldest chocolate shop in the area. My 75 year old mother spent her teen years here. Holidays have the neatest options. YOU HAVE TO GO.
