Didn’t really get it. I think i made it to the spot? Looked like lots of trails for hiking. The surrounding area is beautiful all by itself. The place i parked did have a nice station to put air in bike tires and wrenches if...More

Great spot to see, any time of year-although, not sure if the road is open all year round. Winding road up to the top, but a good road, worth the drive up, you see many vantage points of the city below.

The climb and the views on Grandad bluff are breath taking beautiful. You can walk, bike, drive or take the trolley, it is worth pursuing and enjoy a beverage on the way. Can't wait to come back and do it again.

The views of La Crosse and the Mississippi River Valley are spectacular. There are "stations" where you learn about the history of the area and the bluff itself. The park is in great shape.

The view might not be as spectacular as it is from some of the bluffs on the opposite shore of the Mississippi, but it is a must-do if you're visiting LaCrosse. Great to get perspective and the drive up is really pretty.

Worth the drive! We loved the views. Need to bring mountain bikes next time. The steepness of the climbs reminded me of Andalusia.

What a great panorama! Even on a cloudy day the scene is spectacular. The drive up the bluff is full of twists and turns and raccoons so you have to be watchful because the critters seem to think it is their territory. Go figure. We...More

It is accessible by car. There is a parking lot and a short, easy walk to the overlook. There are also trails from there for those who want to explore further.

Spa's in LaCrosse (4 Replies)
My husband and I are planning a 4 day mini vacation to LaCrosse for our anniversary in May 2015.We have plans to visit Riverside Park, take a Queen Cruise and spend some time at Grandad bluff. Would like to also find a nice spa for a couples massage. Any advice on good places? Also any thing else we should check out while we're in town?

Hi, We own percheron paradise romantic hideaway and many of our guests go to Sue Colby's salon and day spa. They really enjoy it. You can also take a look at www,explorelacrosse.com for tons of info about La Crosse. We hope you enjoy our area.
