I traveled with friends for a girls weekend. We stayed at the American Club so we had to walk across the street to get to the Spa. We wore our sweatpants and sweatshirts since it was winter and 30 degrees outside. As soon as we walked in, the staff looked us up and down and decided that we were not "worthy" of their respect. They were condescending and acted annoyed to even have to be dealing with us. Every inch of the spa was crowded. There were only 2 bathroom stalls in the entire pool/spa area and no changing rooms. The lockers were smaller than a middle school gym locker so I guess I made the right move to brave the elements without a winter coat because there was no room to shove it in a locker and no staff to offer to hang it somewhere for me. I counted more than 100 small lockers which astounded me. There were not even 1/10th that number of lounge chairs around the pool or in the "spa holding area". There were people standing around waiting for their "services" since there were not enough chairs . At the pool there were only a few chaise lounge chairs and nowhere to hang towels or robes. I was disappointed in the whole spa experience. I have been to many spas that were less expensive but made me feel exceedingly more welcome, relaxed and happy to be there. Lesson learned. You might get lucky and have a "special" experience here but only if they deem you "special". No one in my party will be returning.

I arrived at the spa today behind a group that was booking multiple appointments so my spa time was reduced by 1/2 an hour while the group found same day appointments. Incredibly disappointing. Why is it my problem that people show up at the spa sans appointments?

The only covid rule being complied with are masks in the common areas. No hand sanitizing by staff between each contact, chairs/loungers are not sanitized. It is over crowded. No phone rule enforcement. The technicians were excellent, I had a massage and pedicure. But the spa is not up to world standards. It’s pretty basic with a bad layout. It is way overpriced for what you get.

My husband and I did a spa day after two days of golf. Massages were good...
as others have commented, the spa isn’t extremely spacious. For us, with COVID, it was less busy - but still felt cramped. Our check-in experience wasn’t very welcoming and everyone seemed uncertain of what we needed to do (we booked 2+ weeks in advance).
We had to ask about drinks/food...which didn’t match our experience within the carriage house, golfing, etc.

Our pedicures from Kelly were absolutely amazing! She is the best! Best pedicure both of us have ever had.
Go for pedicure, maybe skip the rest?

I came here for my birthday because of the reviews and was sadly disappointed. The spa was under construction and should have been closed but yet they still serviced customers and at full price. First, they require you to book 2 services to use the spa pools. The manicure and pedicure were in awkward little cramped setups, makeshift in a massage room. Rather than laying in a relaxing pedicure chair and putting my feet in a warm jet bath, I laid in an awkward zero gravity chair and put my feet in a copper bowl, which is also the least sanitary method of pedicures. My feet were barely submerged likely because these poor technicians have to lift a heavy metal bowl full of water over to a chair. My manicure was first and got messed up laying in these awkward chairs because there was no where to comfortably place to set my arms to let my nails dry. Pedicure was second and word of advice, do pedicure first - you can’t go into the pools for 1 hour after, to let the nail polish cure. Second, the massage was nice but by no means was I thrilled with it. Not AT ALL worth the price. I like a firm, relaxing massage, working deep into tense areas, instead the therapist rolled her forearms up and down my back, not working into any tense muscles or relieving any pain, and never asking what I wanted. I’m going to go home and get a real massage after leaving feeling not so relaxed. The spa itself is beautiful but the main area view overlooked a brightly lit construction space, curtained off, with an awkward hallway with outlets hanging out of the walls leading up to the rooftop area… it was not scenic or zen by any means, and again, should have absolutely closed rather than giving their customers this awkward experience. The locker room was oddly the nicest part - a hot tub, cold plunge pool, sauna and steam room, tho I came here with my husband for a couples trip, I didn’t love the amenities being split, but also in a loud space. The locker room facilities are nice, except the dilapidated old school plywood lockers (cabinets) that were hard to open and made loud slamming noises which again, not very peaceful to have alongside a hot tub spa space. We usually go to Aire in Chicago for a relaxing birthday celebration and that is a true luxury spa experience, which was what I hoped out of this and was disappointed. If you’re from IL and looking for a spa, I recommend Aire, this place was not the relaxing luxury experience and more expensive.

I have been coming to the American Club every December for 20 years and look forward to a day at the Spa. How disappointing to find that even when you are a guest they are asking for two treatments per guest at the weekend. This takes the cost up to over $500. Seriously folk this is just ridiculous. Also the services have increased in price. Takes the joy out of my visits now to the American Club.

I've only had about half a dozen massages and this one was very good thanks to Vanessa. All staff interactions were exactly what you'd expect at a top notch facility. I've been in a lot of locker rooms, and this one (womens) is very small, with double-Decker lockers and not enough bench room, so I was bumping elbows with naked strangers. Despite all visitors signing a behavior agreement, I did not see staff addressing inappropriate behaviors (cell phone use in locker room, man talking on his phone in a room adjacent to the pool). If you suffer from claustrophobia you might be most comfortable in the rooftop venue which additionally has a more contemporary feel to it than the main area

This the best spa I have ever visited. The service and the staff at this spa at top quality. You get to relax with great wine and appetizers before or after your services. My husband and I booked massages and pedicures. The spa is super clean, with great safety protocols and the atmosphere is super relaxing. I want to highlight the service we got from Luvin, he went above and beyond to make our experience positive.

Outstanding spa in Wisconsin. The service is second to none. The detail to attention is outstanding which is why this is our third time to visit the spa in twelve months. We love staying in the Carriage house where we can wear our robes the entire time. The Bold Cycle and Yoga on the lake were outstanding as well. We can't wait to return!

Unparalleled customer service, experience, and quality.  I knew Kohler was known for excellence, yet Iwas still blown away by Kohler Waters Spa. The staff went above and beyond in so many ways to make sure my experiencewas everything I could have hoped for and more. The quality of service I received was outstanding.  The ambience was unbeatable – a fullimmersive spa experience complete with a whirlpool, cold plunge pool, sauna, steam room, and relaxation areas.  Thebathrobes were also insanely comfortable – was very reluctant to give it up!  It was SO worth the splurge to go to Kohler, and I will never again go anywhere else – I’ve experienced the best!
