This museum is not big, but there are some interesting things there. A lot of the museum is devoted to the manufacturing history in Kenosha which is very interesting.

This museum seems to be open year around, according to posted schedule, unlike Kenosha Lighthouse Museum right behind it, which is open generous 6 months of the year still. Kenosha is the southernmost city in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan, so if you're traveling from chicagoland and are interested in local history, this should be your first stop. Kenosha was a home to Nash brand of cars of yesteryear, and several beautiful pieces in this museum reflect on that legacy.

Unfortunately, the museum had sustained some water damage from a surge of Lake Michigan and the automobile section was closed. (We'll be back for that!) The rest of the museum is small but packed with interesting artifacts, including a section on women. It is free and definitely worth a visit.

A great place to learn about Kenosha and its history. There is a lot more to Kenosha than most people think and this is a great place to learn!

Best secret in Kenosha. Well done. Certainly not a monster museum like in chicago, but exceptional work.

Donations will keep this museum open but it’s the volunteer that will teach how it was many years ago. For you car guys give this place a try, you will find some real nice amc muscle cars. Military will like the ww1 section too. Kids will love the old toys on display. So much to see, give it 1-2 hours.

I never knew Kenosha had such an interesting past! This is a very good showcase of local history and accomplishments. It was a delight talking with the volunteer attendant. The exhibits are very well designed. And it held the interest of our grandkids, too.

Neat little museum off the harbor that showcases the history of the city. Most popular exhibit are the old cars they have on display and change out every so often. Admission is free so can’t really beat that!
