Although we stopped to get fresh cheese curds, we were surprised that the majority of the store sold items other than cheese.

We stopped at the Mar's Cheese Castle after a relative suggested it. We stopped for a late lunch and loved everything we had. We had both types of potato salad (Hot German and regular American) which were delicious. We had grilled ham and cheese (your choice of cheese), a BLT, cheeseburger, mac n cheese and their sandwich special (cannot think... More

Every time we drive to Milwaukee, we stop here. Actually, we stop twice. Once on our way to Milwaukee and again on our way back! :) They have every kind of cheese conceivable. We love their smoked string cheese and cheese curds. They are the best! They also have a bar attached to the store. They have a very nice... More

This place has a great history. There is a large selection of wines, cheeses and other items like hot sauce. They make some fantastic bread and have many deli items that I have never seen. The food is authentic and scrumptious. Full bar, friendly staff and many cool items. The exterior now resembles a castle. Don't miss this place.

My parents would take me to the cheese castle, and decades later I take my wife and kids. I do miss the original store, but the new one has grown on me. We love sampling and always buy something to take back with us for the drive home. The bakery is good too. Love the cheese bread! Great selection of... More

The Mars Cheese Castle has a huge selection of cheeses from all over the world and the local collection has some really aged cheeses that are delicious. They also sell beers, breads and souvenirs. They have a small deli and a pub, so you can eat there as well. Well worth exiting the highway if you are going by it.

Visited with a couple friends on our way home from Milwaukee. They were doing some work on the parking lot, so parking was some what difficult. Once we found parking and made it inside, it was about the same. Very crowded and difficult to get to the items you wanted to get to. There were several sample stations, which were... More

We stopped on our way home from Chicago. The store offers great selections of many specialty type foods and beverages along with cheeses and meats. Many offerings are from Wisconsin. There is a nice deli that serves hot and cold sandwiches that are very tasty. There is also a full service tavern.

People: A Food: A Experience: A As a huge cheese lover, I think Mars Cheese Castle is a little glimpse of heaven. With a multitude of cheese options, wine selections, a bakery, etc., I thoroughly enjoyed this special place in Paris WI. Highly recommended, especially the custom cheese boards. DELICIOUS!!
