This park is huge. It was designed by the same man who built New York's Central Park. It contains botanical gardens, groves of different native trees, nature trails, a waterfall, and a nature center. There are activities year round for both children and adults.

We went to the Winter Lights the night you could donate to the hunger task force and get at $12.00 coupon off. The line of cars was unbelievable and even with the $12.00 off coupon this was not worth the effort. We waited in line for just over an hour for a 1.5 mile drive. The lights were terrible, looked like something you could have gotten at the store. A few trees actually only had flood lights shining on them. There were not many lights at all, More effort was spent on the sponsors signs and even that was lame. China lights is phenomenal! I guess the key words were producers of the China lights NOT the actual artists. We wont waste our time next year, UNLESS we see reviews that are a thousand times better. The people at Whitnall park should take a look at Janesville Rotery park to see what lights are supposed to look like, and get some tips on what to do next year. We were so dissapointed.

One of Milwaukee Counties nicest parks. You can drive through any time of the day and see deer eating. Also have see fox and lots of geese. In the spring you can sit and watch the baby geese and their parents walking around through the whole park area

Golf, a nature center, gardens, and cross country skiing in the winter. So many things one can do at Whitnall Park. Walking, running and biking are also a favorite activity. A calm atmosphere with frequent views of wildlife.

We've come here before for dog sledding, and sledding in winter. Park at the larger lot near the clubhouse/warming house at the golf course. The summer is great at the playground and for a picnic. I love seeing the waterfall after a good rain because then it pours over the rocks and is very scenic. To find the falls, there are 2 parking lots near the golf course. Park at the smaller lot where you can see a view of the lake. Walk down the hill and you'll be right in front of the falls. There are some benches too. In Fall you can see hundreds of geese flocking to the lake/pond and the fall colors are very pretty. Just a nice place to come when you need a nature fix.

Love the fact that this park is free to all. You can pay for other things like golf and tobaggoning but I love to just grab the dog and follow trails through the woods. I have loved this place since I was little. The playground has been updated in area 5 so little ones can enjoy. Try it out. This was my choice for a birthday jaunt followed by Kopps custard!

We paid $3 to park at the Nature Center and we able to walk some scenic trails. It was a nice change of pace from the city. The rest of the park is huge and worth a visit.

Having lived here for 18 years, we use the park all the time as it is clean and beautiful. Great kids areas and picnic areas as well.
