Went for a special exhibit called China Lights at Whitnall Park our Botanical Garden. Gorgeous display sure to please all ages. Milwaukee County is loosing it's great park reputation because of budget, but Whitnall Park is still as lovely as it was 50 years ago and to bring this wonderful exhibit makes you think they are trying to save it.... Keep an eye out for dear at dusk in Whitnall Park. My three year old twin grand nieces were so excited to see the doe and two fawns very close to the roadway near the children's play area. Unexpected treat!

Whitnall Park is a wonderful park, large enough in size to have something for everyone! Walking, picnicking, enjoying nature, learning about nature, play a round of golf and if you're lucky - visit while the traveling Beer Garden is there! A Great Park to enjoy anytime of year.

This huge local park is big enough to get lost in. I know, because I did, and I have been here literally dozens of times. Summer, Winter, it doesn't matter--there is something to do here, from Archery to Golf, to Tobogganing and more for all Seasons. There is also a lovely Botanical Garden, generous picnic areas, trails...you get the idea.... More

This park is huge. It was designed by the same man who built New York's Central Park. It contains botanical gardens, groves of different native trees, nature trails, a waterfall, and a nature center. There are activities year round for both children and adults.

Whitnall Park is respite for anyone with the slightest interest in nature. First of all, the park is huge, 625 acres. The formal gardens are stunning, featuring an amazing rose garden, marsh boardwalk, Lilly walk, 2 grand lawns, a landscaped waterfall with woodland and wetland plants at the bottom. In the spring don't miss the tulip and peony displays. Watch... More

I've been going here for as long as I can remember for walks, bike rides, and then to eventually take my son to play and for pushes back when he was in a stroller. I spent many many hours here. I've always enjoyed spotting the occasional deer, and never appreciated how they have kept up the roads on the trails... More

Lots of things to do in Whitnall Park. Nice bike riding and walking areas. Plus, there is a golf course, wildlife and different picnic areas. Great place to kick back and relax.
