A venue for vinifera, the Captain's Walk Winery offers premium grape wine tasting in a light-hearted manner. Partake in a laid back experience that usurps the snobbery out of wine while enjoying a unique tasting education. This pre-civil war house has been updated carefully to recapture 150 years of character. Plaster crown molding, the original fireplace and hardwood floors complement openings that offer viewing of the production room and cellars.

We're in Green Bay on a mini holiday and stopped in for a wine tasting. We came out on Monday and it was not busy and Joe spent a lot of time explaining the history of the house, the wines and overall Green Bay history. I could see on busier days it could get crowded, so make a reservation or... More

We were in town for an anniversary and decided to try the winery before dinner. We had just walked in and they announced they were doing an unscheduled tour if anyone was interested. Joe did a great job with the history of the building, the tour and the wine tasting afterward. The tasting room was quite busy when we were... More

Great visit to this beautiful and informative winery. The staff were very nice. Small menu if your like to snack while enjoying delicious wine. Full wine selections from dry to sweet and ciders.

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon. We walked in and there was a sign pointing to the Tasting room to the left and Bar to the right we walked in to the small tasting room and it was packed. There is a bar the length of the room which was full and the room itself was also crowded. We... More

ZsaZsa, we appreciate your feedback and your patronage. We take all reviews seriously and are working to improve the wine tasting experience for all people who visit us. I apologize for the lack service that you received in our wine bar bistro area. We should have had an employee on top of that area and apparently they left the room... More

We visited tonight with a Groupon, and sadly won't be back. The service was poor - we were abandoned in the bistro despite being a fairly quiet Tuesday eve. The wine was good, but what was called fondue was a warm cheese spread. We didn't receive napkins with our fondue, and by the time another employee (not our server) came... More

Hello Roseann: We're sorry to hear of your experience at Captain's Walk. Our goal is to provide excellent service, however this time it was not up to standard and your stay was not satisfactory because of it. The managers have spoken with the employee and we're looking for a better way to communicate and manage the Bistro so that this... More

We stopped in to visit this little winery. We were very surprised by the quality of the wines! We enjoyed a tasting and a tour. The winery is housed in a historic home in Green Bay with the cellar in the basement! Glad we stopped in!

My husband and I visited Captain's Walk Winery on 3/25/2016. The building is simply beautiful and the history behind it, as told to us by the Jordan (Store Manager), was so interesting! You are allowed to tour the upstairs of the house by yourself and there are a couple of lounge areas where you can sit and enjoy conversation and... More

This was our first winery to visit, we weren't really sure what to expect. The staff was really friendly and made us feel like we belonged. We sampled 6 different wines and the Cherry Hard Cider. We ended up getting a couple bottles of wine and the cherry cider. Definitely would like to stop in again when we are back... More

My husband and I had a great time and learned much while sampling wine at the Captain's Walk Winery. We enjoyed the atmosphere, explored the building and ended up splitting a cheese platter while we finished up our wine. I would highly recommend the wine tasting if you have a couple hours to spend with a friend or someone you... More

We used a Groupon coupon. It was fun and a great price. The building is historic and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful and of course we loved the wine. We took home a nice selection.
