The gardens are exceptional no matter the season. Everything is labeled; areas are defined. Staff is wonderful. All walkways are easy to walk with gentle slopes. If you are lucky enough to attend a concert in the garden… it is such an unforgettable experience. The holiday lights are a mesmerizing must. Green Bay is so lucky to have such a stunning venue of beauty. Thank you!

A great exhibit on a beautiful day! We enjoyed the walk through the upper and lower sections of the gardens looking for fun facts about snowflakes. The highlight was the fantastic ice and snow sculpture following a pollinator theme.

Worth the trip to learn a bit and enjoy the beauty of the season.

We felt so welcome the minute we walked in to the Botanical Gardens. A great space and beautiful place. Thank you Judy for being so great to us and informative. I also want to say that they are doing a wonderful job with how they are operating during the pandemic. We felt so safe. The butterfly exhibit is a must and it was such an amazing experience. The Gardens are top notch and this was such a great respite from all that is going on right now. Thank you!

We have been to the Botanical Gardens before at Christmas yet they get more beautiful each year. They keep adding more displays and more features. Great place for kids, or adults who are kids at heart or those that just enjoy Christmas Lights. The warming barrel is a perfect tough. The horse and buggy is great for those who can not walk the entire path. Nice to see they cater to those that can not or choose not to walk the entire way.

We have not been there for a couple of years. We noticed they have a beverage area with warm drinks, kids drinks and adult beverage. This vent keeps growing. So glad to see.

My husband and and I had an awesome visit to the Garden of Lights event at the Green Bay Botanical Garden on a December weekend. How relaxing and invigorating to see a light show based on the botanical essence of a garden rather than the commercial aspect of the holidays. Next time we will bring the grandchildren to the Garden of Lights, too!

We bought our tickets for a leisurely walk, which took about half an hour through the light show, but could have upgraded to the popular horse-drawn wagon rides along the trails. The families with young children and some older folks loved the wagon rides! Be sure to dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes or better yet boots.

It was a mild winter night and we were entralled with the various beautiful light displays including the light icicles, butterflies, flowers and bugs and especially the 60' walk through catapillar (what a delight). There were many families with young children in attendance and it was fun to see their eyes light up and reactiion to the large catapillar and bugs!

After our walk along the trails, we enjoyed a hot chocolate and warmed up while we listened to a high school choir sing holiday songs and visited with Santa Claus who happened to be there that night. Oh, and don't miss the gift shop which had some beautiful gifts for the avid gardener and non-gardener. I found some gifts for my family.

While talking to one of the friendly staff, we learned of the popularity of the Garden of Lights event for dating couples and even for getting engaged! What a lovely setting. I guess those couples can get married at the Green Bay Botanical Garden also!

We will be sure to come back in the summer to see the beautiful flower gardens as I would like to get some ideas to revamp my own garden.

Garden of Lights is held on weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Check out www.gbbg.org for more information.

Anyone planning a visit to Green Bay, WI from spring through fall should definitely consider a visit to the botanical garden. It is much larger than you might expect, and has an incredible array of lovely and diverse gardens to view. If visiting in December, consider a different experience at the garden, the Festival of Lights, where the entire garden is decorated with an amazing number of holiday lights.

The Green Bay Botanical is a hidden gem. Toured the gardens with my 80 year old garden fanatic dad. We both had a great time. The grounds are easily walkable. Many interesting views and buildings. A good emphasis on things for children's activities. I watched a toddler run and slide, run and slide down a garden playground equipment - oh, a dozen times. He was in heaven BUT the garden is true to its calling - and not all gimmicks. A must visit if in Green Bay. The REAL gem of the garden is one of the receptionists. I do not know her name (but she has two grown children) She was so enthusiastic about the garden and her job. She was a perfect way to end our statewide garden tour. P.S. The bathrooms were spotless which I understand was previous problem... the bathrooms were not BUT NOW.... wonderfully clean.

These botanical gardens are peaceful and colorful. We really enjoyed our time here. There seemed to be something new around every bend. You won’t be disappointed. But I would recommend bug spray.
