Unfortunately I did not discover peninsula players had Intel a coil for hearing aids until the second act. As a result I could not understanjd the first act dialog. PP should tell/remind patrons of it's availability.
Fortunately the sets and staging are awsome and it is worth seeing Ripcord just for that. After being able to understand the dialog in the second act, I greatly enjoyed the play and strongly recommend it, Randy Kenny Sturgeon Bay.

Dear Randy, Thank you so much for taking the time to post about your experience at RIPCORD. I am so sorry you were unaware of our hearing loop at the theater. Please know that we have signs posted in the theater/canteen as well as information in our playbill, website for each show and print communication pieces. I am happy you were able to utilize the technology in the second act and thrilled that you still enjoyed your experience at the theatre-in-a-garden! We hope to see you again soon! When we heard the shows were back this summer we bought tickets to both shows. This lovely theater never disappoints, this play has one set and only two actors. (so many lines) It is both funny and serious, with a plot twist that will pull at your heart strings. Matt (Sean Fortunato) was wonderful, he delivered with passion, comedy, and impressions of famous actors.
I would go again if it wasn't a 200 mile drive.

So wonderful to be back after cancelled seasons due to covid! This outdoor theater, while the performance is under cover, is in a beautiful wooded location on Green Bay. We always arrive early to get wine and to wander down by the shoreline and to spend some relaxing time enjoying the serenity of the evening before the 8:00 performance begins. Easy to make reservations on line. Easy parking. Delightful performance of the first play of the season: "The Rainmaker".

Dear 91paulkat, Thank you so much for sticking by our side and returning to the theater in 2022 for our 87th season! It was a very difficult decision to make in 2020 to shut down and just as challenging in 2021 to produce an abbreviated, yet celebratory reopening season. We are all excited that we are back to our five show season at full capacity so that live theater may re-enter everyone's lives once again! I am so pleased that you relish the entire Peninsula Players Theatre experience from pre-show/intermission to the wonderful productions themselves. It means a great deal that you care enough to share this with the TripAdvisor community. We hope to see you by the bay again soon! My very best, Brian Kelsey Managing Director

We had a wonderful time seeing "Write Me a Murder". The entire production was very professional. It's amazing that the actors they get are so talented. The Beer Garden and path to the lake was fun. I felt like we were walking in a woodland fairy garden with all the lights and flowers amongst the forest and lake. I highly recommend arriving an hour early to take advantage of strolling the grounds with a drink.

Dear lavenderandy, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your most recent experience at Peninsula Players Theatre with the TripAdvisor community! I am so happy that your evening with us to see Frederick Knott's WRITE ME A MURDER was a positive experience! We are very proud of the beautiful land on which the theater sits and proud of the amazing work our gardener puts into the landscaping each season. The fairy lights and multi-color flood lights create a very special feeling when on the grounds after sun down and I'm very happy you had the opportunity to experience it all. It is my sincere hope that you will visit us again in the near future! My very best, Brian Kelsey Managing Director

WOW! We really enjoyed this experience. The play was wonderful, the actors were amazing, and the setting is absolutely magical! The side walls of the theater open, and it feels like you are sitting (very comfortably) in the woods / garden watching a play. The staff was over the top friendly, and made sure that we were happy with our seats. The sun went down on the lake, and we were able to go take pictures during the intermission. There are picnic tables in the courtyard area, and many families came early with a picnic dinner, which they ate before the performance. Also, very reasonably priced, and friendly to people with mobility challenges. I would recommend this to ANYONE visiting Door County! One of the most-fun things we did during our visit!

We have been coming to Peninsula Players for about 25 years now. We always have a great experience. Coming a bit early to enjoy the "Beer Garden" and the beautiful shoreline is such a relaxing way to begin the evening. Each play we have seen has been performed by talented actors and has entertaining and often thought-provoking. Each summer there are a variety of genres of plays, so the entertainment never loses its appeal. We recently saw "The Rainmaker" and as always, it was a wonderful evening. I had seen the movie of this play many years ago and had not been sure if I would enjoy the play. I was pleasantly surprised. Largely, because of the quality of the actors, the stage design, and the venue, I loved it. Thank you, Peninsula Players for making live theater available at a reasonable cost and in a beautiful setting.

To begin with, the theater setting encompasses the natural beauty that draws so many to Door County. The Rainmaker was a touching retelling of life several generations ago living in rural America when con artists roamed from village to village. Eyes wide open, a family gets their fair share of the bargain. Player’s veterans Greg Vinkler and Sean Fortunato lead the cast that include fresh faces as well. Worth a visit, and the Player’s grounds delivered yet another fabulous sunset.

We’re the demographic for PP’s audience — late 60’s, half-century of seasonal visits.

We’ve been watching the quality slide for a decade.

Money doesn’t seem to be the issue.

The Board of Directors needs to wrap their head around a failing enterprise.

Production quality is better than good, but the subject matter of the selection of plays has no appeal.

The peninsula players play house in door County is first class all the way. My wife and I have been there a number of times and every show seems to get better and better. Ripcord was humorous it touched your heart strings brought out many emotions and was wonderfully done. Great job to the cast.
