Eagle tower is next to a parking lot so it is easily accessible by car but we rented a tandem bicycle and rode to it. The tower has many steps so if you're not in good physical shape you may need to rest often while you ascend. The view is wonderful.

We were there 7.15.2016 and the tower was back open. We climbed to the top and the view was amazing. Glad it was open as this is a main attraction in this small park.

We were here last year and can see a huge panoramic view to 10 miles away. It was damaged from a storm a while back, so there is a fund-raiser to rebuild the tower.

A great way to check out the local surroundings at the park from a birds-eye view. I believe it's closed at the moment, they are fixing it but when it reopens, take the time to make the climb.

We realize that everything needs to be maintained, and it costs money, but seriously, this tower has been closed since 2015. Why is it still closed in 2016 with no attempt to maintain in view?? Reallly, really missed doing the climb and view again, this year!!

They should probably tell you when you enter the park (and they don't) that the tower is closed. We saw a number of other folks arriving at the tower and preparing to climb only to see it chained off. You can't really tell that it is closed until you get out and walk up to it. The sign is too... The tower is one of the highlights of Peninsula State Park, but when we visited, it was closed to climb due to what was stated as unsafe conditions. I hope the park folks are able to restore or rehab the tower to once again allow people to climb the stairs in order to enjoy the sweeping views from the top.

chained off so you can't climb so how is this a tourist attraction? $5 for an hour to get into the park.

Sign on the gate that blocked access to the tower said it is closed; it has structural problems and they are looking at tearing it down. Disappointing.
