This is the top attraction in Door County! The course was fun and just challenging enough. The layout was great as well. The golf course has a cute rustic feel, and each hole has a different little challenge & obstacle. The price was very competitive with anything else in the area. You were even able to win free games by getting a hole-in-one on a few of the holes. The owner was funny and super nice as well. I will most certainly be returning to Red Putter.

My husband brought me here because this is where he came when he was a kid. He said he wanted to see if it changed. It only slightly changed in 30 years!! He was so excited about this. We had a great time. If you are looking for pirate cove quality don’t come here. This is for people who like an old school experience. Another nice thing is it’s only $5.00 a person. Definitely will be back.

It's hard not to like this place even though it's old and maybe not as well kept as others in the area. Besides only being $5 per person, the old school feel was kind of fun. Also the signs explaining the holes were cute. Take the family and go back in time.

We played here, Pirate’s cove, and Johnson’s. Red Putter was the most challenging and engaging; and thus our favorite. But the course is a bit tight so during Covid times we did feel a bit on top of others while waiting to putt.

The better option is just down the street, This is a aging and in need of repair mini golf. It’s fine for kids and another option. But while the Pirate Golf is just down the street and a bit more expensive. That was a truly fantastic facility that was hard to beat. After that, this was disappointing since they had a full year of COVID to work on it and do some work.

Thanks for your honest review. Our classic mini-golf style may not be for everyone and we love our Pirate neighbors too. We will continue to upgrade and improve, but I'm not sure how COVID gave us time to do so. We have been glad to offer a safe activity for people and have been busier than ever.

Simply the greatest golf course in the world. Even your mom can win. Seriously, no frills on this course but it is just a really fun place to play mini golf. I get the idea that if you wanted to play til 2 am they would be cool with that.

There are several mini-golf places in Door County, all of them locally owned, but the Red Putter is a one-of-a-kind place. Perhaps the Pirate mini-golf down the way might intrigue the passers-by, but the witty, fun, and dynamic holes at the Red Putter will keep you and the kids having a blast with each challenge. No two holes are alike. There are moving object, giant animals to maneuver around, double-decker holes, and various method to sink the ball... kids will enjoy the challenge. At the end of the game, you'll all have the opportunity to guess how many candies are in a jar. The lucky winner from each week gets to take home all those treats (they will mail them to you if you're not in town!). And at only $4 per game, this course can't be beaten. Don't forget your cameras bc the kids will want to climb the giant white rocking chair at the beginning of the course. What a great photo op!

We LOVE this mini golf course! The holes range from easy to hard, and the placement of the difficult holes makes the course challenging but not discouraging. My kids had a blast on this past trip, and we had some great family time together! The course is small enough that someone not participating can sit in a comfy chair and watch almost the entire play through. The holes are cute, old school style holes. Customer service is great. We got rained out on our first day and when we came back the next day, they let us finish the game from the day before before we began our new game. Friendly, happy staff. Fun all around.

We planned and last minute trip to Door County, and decided to try the Red Putter because it was so near our hotel. I am SO glad we did! It is full of vintage charm, and the holes had lots of neat features (doors that came up and down, lots of multi-level holes, etc.) It was a blast! And at only $4 (!!!) a person, it was a great deal, too! I would recommend this to anyone who is going up to Door County and looking for a fun afternoon! (Just keep in mind that, being old school, they only accept CASH, so bring your real life money with you!)

Been going here forever. The course is the usual worn out look, but is always the most fun. Staff is very nice and welcoming. The price is $4, which is half of some courses in DC. Can't wait to go back.
