About
The Village of Egg Harbor is coming into its own as Door County’s most popular cruising destination. It offers the best deep-water sailing access on the Peninsula. In the last few years, the Village has built a new marina, expanded and improved the public beach, and renovated Harbor View Park. The marina lies in the heart of the village, within an easy walk of many restaurants and shops.

This past summer a group of 12 adults booked a 2 hour cruise on the Edith Becker sailing ship. It was wonderful! Our captain Katie Wicks and her crewmate gave us a very enjoyable trip. They explained the history of this beautiful ship and allowed us to help raise and lower the sails. It was a wonderful experience and we all would highly recommend it.

Just a great stop for a spring day. I was showing some visitors around Door County and just stopped here for some water views. I enjoy some picnics here in summer. Water was soooo clear and such blue skies

We love marinas, and stopped on the way by just to watch the waves and look at the boats. It's a great little spot, nice park to get out and walk. It's probably pretty crowded in the summer, but was a cool, fall day so there was hardly anyone there. On a nicer day we would have taken the bicycles for a spin around town.

Having enjoyed visiting here two years ago, we stopped in again on this trip.
This year the harbor had not yet broken free of the ice, so it offered some impressive views of the water in its winter cloak.
As before, we were the only ones in the parking area; so we could indulge in numerous variations of views, while remaining in our vehicle.
We had the opportunity to see some gulls clumsily landing on the ice; as well as some ducks floating in the few areas where the water was beginning to break through the ice.
This is one of the great "off-season" spots; where one can enjoy experiencing Door County before it shakes off winter, and succumbs to the seasonal hustle and bustle.

We stopped here a couple of times while exploring the area.
Being it was the last week of March, there were no boats to see; however, parking was abundant, and the views were still wonderful.
Whether sitting inside the car, or outside right by the water; this was a relaxing retreat (at that time of year, we were often the only ones there).
It was pleasant to walk around, enjoy the views, listen to the waves; and experience quintessential Door County.
Though providing fewer options; "off-season" has its own pleasures.

Pulled off the main road to experience this park and marina, and boy were we surprised at how much we enjoyed it! Had a very nice walk on the surround pier, watched jet skiers on the bay, and even visited with one or two other patrons on a beautiful day. Stop here for even a few minutes, just to see the views and experience this beautiful pier/walkway in Egg Harbor. Even within walking distance to shops on the main drag (Hwy 42)!

We don't have a boat but enjoyed walking around on the piers. Big wheeled carts are available for transporting as well as picnic tables and benches. This was a peaceful place to sit on the water and admire the boats. There is a very pretty park right above it.

Egg Harbor Marina is another beautiful marina in Door County. Great place to enjoy water views or admire the boats at dock.
I love walking around the marina and the little village of Egg Harbor. All of the shops and restaurants are quite close to the marina so it is an easy walk to everything.
There are some of my favorite restaurants in Egg Harbor as well. Great place to spend time while in Door County.

Is there a Marina Festival this year?
Written December 27, 2018
Which festival? All known events can be found within the links at doorcountypulse (sorry, they don't allow web links in responses. You can search by date or name. If you're looking for Egg Harbor, put that in the "key word" search. Next event is the New Years Parade. If you're wondering about Blessing of the Fleet its June 1st, the Pumpkin Patch Festival is October 12th. Sister Bay Marina fest is August 31st.
