I tried to order online like I have many times in the past. This time it wouldn't let me send to an address I have had chesse previously sent saying it is invaild. So I disregarded that order and went onto the other two. Most of the times I couldn't get past the billing point. It wouldn't take me to payment. When I did get to payment, it kept syaing the mailing addresses were invaild or there was a price change. I reset and did it again. The prices were still the same. I tried calling and leaving a message. No one answers the phone even though they are open. I even sent an email. I have not gotten any response and I have not been called back. This place has excellent cheese, but this is defintely poor customer service and I give up trying to buy from them anymore.

It wasn't okay stuff. We had stopped to go to the winery next door that had some live music playing, and thought that some cheese would go nice with the wine while we were listening to music. So I decided to go in. I thought maybe they might have some selections or just a few small packets, but that isn't the case you have to buy hot pieces that are no less than a half a pound. And then I asked for a knife to be able to cut cheese or if they could slice it at all and you can get a wooden recyclable type knife and a cutting board if you leave your driver's license out of cashier.

Worth a stop. Our trolley driver recommended this store. All the cheese is award winning Wisconsin product. They let you taste everything. It isn’t cheap, but the cheeses are varied and excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Check out the wine store next door for more local libations.

My husband and I visited while in the area for our wedding anniversary. We got to sample a variety of cheeses, all of which were delicious. We enjoyed the cheese inspired recipe cards and the friendliness of the gentleman helping us. We ended up purchasing toffee, butter crackers and a wedge of our favorite cheese. It was fun and we got delicious goods to enjoy during our trip!

We usually don’t stop at cheese tasting/wine tasting locations. But, we passed this one several times and thought we’d give it a try. We should have followed our instincts and kept driving. From the moment we walked in, the place seemed snooty and stuck up, especially the gentleman passing out samples of cheese. He yelled at our youngest (9 years) for getting too close to the cheese. Sorry, we didn’t know. He then went on to explain the different cheeses with mannerisms and attitude as if we were bothering him and were an imposition. We did notice that his approach quickly changed when the next group (sans children) came in. The ladies behind the counter were much nicer and offered samples and descriptions of a variety of other cheeses. We ended up buying a couple types of cheeses and also a cheese knife, so it wasn’t a total waste of time. Maybe we’re just not “tasting” kind of folk.

People who provide you with an incredible customer experience, share a wealth of knowledge about Wisconsin's finest award winning artisan cheese, offer you as many as 50 different samples of these award-winning cheeses to allow you to find your own personal favorites, and you are under no financial obligation to buy what you try...and the best retail staff of people trained to give you the best customer experience available.

Enough said.....enjoy the moment!

Cute stop with some exceptional cheese choices. They gave generous tastings and were very knowledgeable. The woman behind the counter shared the history of cheese making along with insight into the cheese makers themselves. My husband and I bought the Ba Ba Blue cheese made with sheep milk. It was so good it made me weak in the knees upon sampling! It's worth a return trip just for that.

Yes, they have Wisconsin artisan cheese. But you'll find several of the same varieties (exact same makers, styles, even label) at the Pick-n'Save in Surgeon Bay for 30 -40% less. I was hoping for a unique experience (nice shop, nice presentation), but finding the same thing in a supermarket after our visit and purchase made us feel like suckers and ruined the experience.

This is a small place, and the people behind the counter were not very helpful. They did offer samples, but no additional information on any of the cheeses. There was nothing really to see there. If you want some cheese, you can try it first and then they cut you however much you want. I just wasn't all that impressed.

This was a bonus as we were at the winery next door. Knowledgeable staff and great assortment. Would recommend a visit.
