We have been there five times. Each time the service is great, the wines are very good and the live music makes the whole atmosphere come together. All wines are good but the Riesling is great. Good cheese next door too.

Walked in to see what they had to offer for tastings. They had just opened so not very busy. But as we were there more people arrived. They had a free tasting of the Oompa Loompa and by looking down the list we decide right then there to just buy a bottle. The tasting tiny glasses were beautiful. And they were for sale for $10.

I first had stopped at this place last summer and loved it so much that I needed to go back. We stopped again for more wine tasting and to buy some great bottles of wine! They have wine flights from $10. You get to pick 4 of their standard wines for $10 or premium for $15. The service here is great and they usually have live music playing on the patio. You can also purchase wonderful cheese from the cheese shop to have with your wine while your visiting or take home with you. I highly recommend this place!

We stopped at Harbor Ridge Winery Tuesday and had great service by Jason, he let me taste the wines I wanted to purchase. I ended up choosing three wines, but he told me if you get a fourth bottle the wines get a complimentary carrying bag.

The next day impressed with our service from Jason, my mom and I brought my dad and two daughters to pick up more wine as gifts for our friends. I picked out this cute coaster that says "My Happy Place Door County" on it.

While I was checking out my dad asked a silly question as he is not familiar with wines, "do you have a good red with door county cherries in it"? She snidely commented, you have one in your hands and that we are in Door County so they are Door County cherries. She was very dismissive to my parents, I tried to hurry up with my purchase just to leave as I felt uncomfortable not realizing what she did with my coaster that I was so excited to get! I gave the wine bag to my parents and went back into the winery to get their business cards. Dori was her name and she is the assistant manager there, her name is on the business card and my receipt.

Fast forward, we drove home three hours and I asked my parents for my wine bag as I drove a separate car. They gave it to me and I panicked becuase the coaster was not in there! It was in the side pocket of the fabric wine bag. It had a hairline crack and was still held together by the cork. I was so disappointed as I really wanted that cute coaster- I know it is only $5.99 but I spent a bunch on the total of 8 bottles of wine and felt good about purchasing the coaster.

I call the next day as it was late, MJ the general manager answered the phone and I told her the above story. She couldn't believe that Dori would treat customers like that as "she is a kindergarten sunday school teacher, maybe she was having an off day"!

She said, "with the price of the coaster, it would cost more in shipping" so she will refund me the 5.99. She had to go in the middle of the conversation (10:47AM) to help people with a wine tasting, so she called me back.

When she called me back, she asked about my receipt information and said okay I will put the refund through. THEN HUNG UP before I could even say thank you.

This kind of service does not encourage me to return back to Harbor Ridge Winery or recommend to my friends and family that also go to Door County multiple times each year.

The owners should be notified immediatley about the way these women treat customers. The only reason why I would give it a 1 star is because 1) Jason was very attentive and kind 2) I didn't have an option of putting 0.

Good wines, uninterested staff. We paid the $10 for a tasting, but we’re given little to no guidance on the wines. Cute names, but hard to tell what they’d taste like. Staff were simply not enthusiastic or very interested in talking about their wines. The cheese place right behind them was much better!

We were very disappointed by our experience at Harbor Ridge Winery. We have been to many tastings at other wineries, and this was by far the most impersonal of those experiences. The person behind the bar didn't bother to welcome us. It was very mechanical for him. We attempted to ask about the wines and got very little information. Still, we decided to give the tasting a try and shared a flight which we took in plastic glasses and a rack tray to the checkout. The atmosphere is more like a tightly packed general store with very little indoor seating and only one bathroom. The wines were decent, yet because of all the other elements, we left feeling disappointed. We will not be recommending this winery to friends.

My husband and I visited this winery in October. We live in Egg Harbor and spent many times at this winery which we enjoyed under previous owners. We were shocked and SO disappointed to see how this winery had changed! Since October is a busy month even with the pandemic.
I stood in line for a long time to get a glass of wine and a bottle. You could only order your wine from one person. If someone before you ordered one or more flights they got a number. Their flights were poured and then the person pouring waited until they came back to get their wine just standing, waiting as the line got longer. I was next and asked for a taste of what I was purchasing. I was told that I would have to taste it outside. A quick taste and came back to order. I was told by a very RUDE person that I would have to go to the back of the long line! I refused and she yelled rude comments, but did pour my wine. She said that to pay I would have to stand in another line! I shared with the people working there how the winery had changed and would not return. Again, rude comments were spit out at me!
So SAD as new owners choose to me sooo rude to customers. Others in line were complaining to about the unorganized system at this winery for service!
So many friendly and great wineries in Door County such as Simon Creek, Lautenbach Orchard winery, Door County winery, Red Oak, etc. so SKIP this one as the RUDE people are not worth the just OK wine!
I am a resident not a tourist so am so disappointed in a business like this in our town!!!

It was raining and they were not very friendly overall we had to ask questions every step of the way as we worked our way through. They told us we could go sit outside…it was raining.. when I stated the obvious they said well you can go upstairs. Wine was so so but after customer, no service, decided to go elsewhere. There was a charge $10 for four small pours. Go to Door peninsula tastings are free and service is exceptional.

We stopped on a Thursday afternoon in early October. We were surprised that the wines offered did not have any description or explanation, simply select one of four pre-determined parings. The layout of the facility wasn’t welcoming or easy to navigate.
Now for the wines... if you have any refinement to your palate, stay on WI-42 and keep driving. The wines were less than inspiring. Neither of us finished our selected parings.
The cheese shop next door was friendly with good quality Wisconsin cheese offerings.

We stopped in for some wine tasting early in June. Masks were required in the store, however we were able to taste wines on their outdoor patio without a mask. The store is filled with cute wine related items. The wine flights for tasting are a bit pricey for Door County ($53.00 for four flights, plus tip). The wine was drinkable and we enjoyed sitting on the patio tasting the wines with some cheese from a shop next door.
