We went with Door County Trolley for the Wine, spirits, and brew tour. John, our tour guide, was beyond amazing. His personality was professional while still being incredibly fun and knowledgeable. He made certain to visit and chat with every person on the tour and had the whole tour laughing and fully engaged for the duration. We've already booked another trolley tour for Halloween and are sincerely hoping that John is the guide for that one as well.

My daughter left the trolley saying Special Ed has the best personality. Special Ed is an amazing storyteller and kept us all entertained during the tour. My youngest child was skeptical about a two-hour long tour, but he left the trolley saying it was too short! We all had a fun evening of hearing hair-raising, spine-chilling ghost stories and singing monster songs through the streets of Fish Creek. AHHHHHHOOOOOOO The sunset views and lake views were an added bonus! Highly recommended!

We went on a ghost tour in early September. Our host and entertainer was (Special) Ed, and my fiancé and I loved it! Ed is an experienced storyteller- the fact that he was a teacher really shows with his knowledge of the area, “characters” in his story, and attention to his audience. Ed’s stories were even obtained by Ed via the mayor or local relatives of characters in his story. I always love a name drop. The tour does have some hop off/ons, I think we got off 4 times so if you’re hoping for a sit and ride for 3 hours you’ll be disappointed. Also I would not recommend for younger than 5, because HELLO you’re walking around in the dark/haunted house/cemetery talking about ghosts! Go.on.this.tour. With Ed. And make sure your phone is charged and can take LOTS of pictures especially the Nobel House….!

We recently went on the Ghost Tour with Door County Trolley and it was the lamest ghost tour ever! My wife and I have been on quite a few walking and trolley ghost tours in the past, and this one was just plain boring.... also way overpriced for what was offered here. We got on/off the trolley at several locations to hear some stories, but they just went on forever and were frankly not interesting at all. Our guide was Ross, who really tried to get into character, but I think it was a bit too much for the guests on our particular tour. Once the sing-a-longs to Adam's Family, Ghostbusters and other tunes started on the way back to the station, I could not wait to get off that trolley! One extra star for visiting a couple of locations that we might not have seen otherwise. Avoid!

We opted to go for the trolley trip on the first day of our door county trip. It was a fun drive down 42 then through the peninsula state park. The guide was knowledgeable of the local history and gave some pointers on the local establishments (although most of his recommended restaurants were on the pricey side). The part we were disappointed was in the lack of covid precautions. There was no social distancing inside the trolley. Only one seat was left open. Masks were not mandatory inside the trolley, only few passengers had it on... the guide wore it while facing the passengers. In conclusion, wish we hadn’t spent $22 for essentially a trip inside peninsula state park (which costs $13 for a day pass).

We went on the Lighthouse Tour. Our tour guide was Ed. He did an excellent job, both talking about the lighthouses, but also about lots of interesting history of Door County. We were very disappointed that the Cana Lighthouse was closed, but that was out of the Trolley company's control - but you may want to check before booking it if you are interested in that lighthouse.

We found the giftshop had a good selection of tshirts, sweatshirts, and a variety of other gits at reasonable prices compared to other gift shops around - and received a 10% discount because we had taken a tour.

We would recommend this tour - and suggest you take it early in your stay in Door county because there were lots of great suggestions for other places we wished we could have visited (we went on our last day there).

While visiting haunted sites was the main focus of the tour, the wealth of historical knowledge possessed by our tour guide, Carl, as well as his natural ability to entertain were truly phenomenal. Not only did he keep us engaged with riveting storytelling, even going as far as making the return trip fun, but he went the extra mile to help assist passengers wherever he could. My family and I would recommend Door County Trolley to people of all ages who are seeking to explore the rich history of this truly amazing area and have fun while doing it.

The Door County Trolley came highly recommended by a friend, and it definitely did not disappoint! I did the Premier Wine Tour and I had a great time. When you consider that it is a 5-hour tour that includes lunch, wine tastings, and cheese tastings, as well as the peace of mind of not having to drive, it really is a good value. Everything was very well organized and our driver, Bryon, was very friendly and fun. I was prepared for the experience to be geared toward a party crowd, but was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. I was a solo traveler and everyone on the trolley made me feel welcomed. I felt that there was plenty of time at each of the stops, with the exception of the very last one. There was a winery and a cheese store at the last stop and with the COVID precautions in place (limited people allowed inside at a time), it just wasn't possible to visit both in the time allotted. I'm sure that normally this is not a problem. Speaking of COVID, every reasonable precaution was taken. We had private tasting areas with disposable tasting cups at all of the wineries. There is such a variety of tours to choose from, and I will definitely book another tour (maybe the Haunted Tour?) the next time I am in Door County!

We just enjoyed the new dining car on the Shoreline and Charcuterie tour on August 5 as a group of 6.

My husband and I have done a lot of the trolley tours before and this was our favorite! The dining car layout is great since you can sit face to face with a table between. It’s great for conversing with your party. The open bar is fantastic offering beer, a great selection of high quality wines, and water and soda. The charcuterie board was amazing featuring very generous portions of 3 cheeses, 4 meats (prosciutto, salami, etc), kalamata lives, dried orange slices (I had no idea how delicious that would be), cashes and pralines, and toffee lus crackers.

The driver and the person serving us (Tracy) were fantastic.

Our itinerary took us over to Baileys harbor, down to Sturgeon Bay and the returned along the shoreline where we enjoyed a spectacular sunset over the bay.

There are three bathroom stops so no need to worry as you enjoy your beverages.

I highly recommend the dining car tours!

We took 4 trolley tours while in DC.
Lighthouse rating 2 we had to eat lunch on bus we toured only 2 lighthouses due to wind storm in DC
Ghost tour rating 4-5
Wine tasting/distillery rating 5
Uncorked wine tour visited 3 spots rating 0 no one seemed to know that we were coming we had to wait at each place for them to set up
PCDC was terrible ! The pizza was not ready upon arrival. I think that $150.00 for 6 cups of wine and 3 pieces of subpar pizza was overpriced. This place was terrible. Not sure why we would be interested in a pig.. this was a huge disappointment. We stayed an extra night in Door county for this tour. We had a group of 3 60 year olds and we had to sit with bridal shower party and were not able to sit together. Management needs to reevaluate this one…
