This was such a fun way to spend my last night in Door County! Ronny 5-Star was a great story teller, and he really thought everything out. Not only did he arrive at a scenic overlook in Peninsula State Park just in time for a spectacular sunset (and take individual pictures of everyone who wanted one!), but on the drive back, he had a special selection of spooky music, ending PRECISELY as we parked in the lot! He really told some fun stories, brought us to picturesque locations, and put everyone into a great mood. He also showed us some supernatural photos that were taken on previous tours.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and did 3 of the door county trolley rides offered over the week we were here. They were easily the best part of our trip! The ghost tour with Asher was so much fun. He was great at story telling and had the perfect amount of humor and spookiness. The Wine, Spirits, and Brew tour with Todd was also so much fun! He was so knowledgeable on all the local drinks and kept the energy fun! Finally we did the Murder and Mayhem tour with Ronny. Another amazing tour guide! Even with a couple obnoxious and disruptive guests, Ronny was very professional and respectful. His story telling about Door County’s dark history kept us all engaged the whole time. Would highly recommend these tours!

For my bachelorette party we did a wine tasting tour. We had Maxx (with a double X) as our tour guide. Maxx was extremely polite, humorous and made sure everyone was safe and having a great time throughout the trip. I would highly recommend going on one of these tours and would go again the next time I am in the area.

Went up for a great Door County day with family, and the trolley ghost tour was the perfect way to end the night. My high school history teacher, Mr. Sieracki (Carl at Door County Trolley), was the most knowledgeable, charismatic, and engaging guide we could have asked for. 10/10 would recommend these tours, especially if you have him to guide you, showing you a side of Door County you never knew you were missing. Such a great experience.

The tour was absolutely wonderful! We did the tour on 10/6/24 with our 3 kids (11, 12, and 14 years old) and everybody was entertained the whole time. This is definitely a recommended tour to do for all ages. “Special Ed” was such an amazing tour guide as he was tentative to all of his guests on the trolley. He made the tour interesting and has a brilliant story telling ability. 10/10!

The tour was amazing. Johnny 5 Star was entertaining and passionate about his job which made the tour spectacular. Only thing was that the winery that I visited had a worker who tried to get my husband and I to pay for another tasting when it was already included. This soured my experience, and I did not buy wines from them as a result. The owner of the winery did not know that his worker was doing this because the owner was allowing tastings without an extra charge before buying. I ended up buying wine at the second stop which included wine and cheese. The Chocolate place(3rd stop) was amazing. The trolley was worth it as an intro to Door County.

We went on the ghost tour and Ashton was our tour guide. He was outstanding! He told every story in a spooky theatrical way. We toured an old cemetery where our guide showed us notable gravesites of people in the stories that he told us sitting the night. It was a rainy night which added to the ambiance. On the way back to the station we all sang to favorite Halloween tunes like Ghostbusters, Monster Mash and Thriller. Great fun!!

We were on the Door County Trolley Ghost tour tonight. So much fun!!!! Our tour guide was Ed. He’s wonderful. He has haunted house music and I think Night on Bald Mountain music playing between haunted story stops. His stories are wonderfully creepy and dramatic. On the way back, he blasts all the Halloween classics that you know and love.
We took the same tour with our kids six years ago. He put on Warren Zevon’s Werewolf in London and my husband started howling and singing, a full on party for one. Not sure he was even aware of it. Fast forward to tonight. Ed encourages everyone to sing along, and everyone did! It was so much fun! Thanks Ed! Totally recommend!

Ronnie Fivestar did a fantastic job sharing ghost stories of the area. He was very knowledgeable on the historical details of the stories. He entertained everyone on the ride back to the trolley station with with spooky theme songs, playing name-that-tune and having a sing along . . . very fun night!

Tonight we went on the haunted trolley tour. Our guide Special Ed was amazing!! He was so funny and his voice and stories captivated everyone on board. I had my teenage daughter with (ages 16 & 13). They loved it. You get off the bus several times for stories as well. Highly reccomend this tour. Especially if you have special ed as your guide!!

Trying to decide between the Premier Wine Tour and the Wine, Distillery and Brewery Tour. Do you know which wineries, distilleries, and breweries are visited for each tour (besides the restaurants, those are already listed in the descriptions)?
Written July 11, 2019
Hi! First we went to Door County Distillery. Their spirits are great. You get a flight of small drinks--like a tiny bloody mary featuring their vodka, and 3 other tiny mixed drinks. Next we went to Starboard Brewing Company,=. Then we went to Brick for lunch right across from the brewing co. Then we went to Harbor Ridge Winery. At Door County Distillery, you have the opportunity to go right across the aisle to Door Peninsula Winery to sample wines at no charge. There is ample sampling at each place AND you can bring drinks on the trolley. We had Nick as our trolley driver. Great driver and time!

Hi,
Can you tell me if the Scenic Tour makes stops along the way where you can get off and walk around?
Thanks much,

We booked the Wine Spirits & Brew tour, does lunch come included or do we pay for this on our own at the restaurant? Can we bring drinks (wine or beer) on the trolley? Thanks!!

Hello and great question. Yes, all wine, spirits and beer tastings AND lunch are included in the price of the ticket. Beverages purchased from the Trolley Station or from stops along the tour may be brought on the trolley. Outside beverages may not be brought on the tour or trolley. Hope this helps and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Order of wineries and other stops vary so we can not give you an exact order until it gets closer to the event.

Who owns the door county trolley? I left a message on his machine today because one of his trolleys thought it was ok to turn around in my driveway today, even though it was marked with signs saying “private drive no u turn”. He called me now and just yelled at me, saying I’m just a tourist from Chicago and I should shut up and get the hell out. Um, the Hickey family has been here since 1854, jerk. And I’m going to make sure everyone we know knows what a completely rude idiot he is to call and scream at me after his trolley driver trespassed.
