I have two small children, ages 3 and 5. They loved feeding the animals. You pay extra for the bucket of food. It has carrots and grain in it. You do pay to get into the farm. Along with the animals, there are also little playhouses upon entering the farm. This was actually my kids favorite part! There were kids... More

Our 3 kids loved this place and stayed n played here for several hours. Without a doubt this is the best place to go in Door County for families with kids under 12 or any teens who love animals. Only wished there was a place for mom n dad to refresh with a glass of wine(sangria would have been outstanding)... More

Thank you so much for your kind words about Plum Loco. You're right! Kids can spend hours in the play-farm village and hopefully future visiting families will allow for enough time for this activity. And although we would love to offer adults some wine, beer, or Sangria (we get this request a lot) - unfortunately - this is one attraction... More

I was not pleased with our experience at Plum Loco and I'm not one that is hard to please. I had read such great reviews on this place and was very excited to take my family and friends there. We arrived at this "farm" before the rest of our group and mentioned this to the man and woman at the... More

Kids had a lot of fun here, would have liked to stay a few hours. Owner was very nice and their mission and approach to animals is special.

This is a wonderful place for young children to play and feed animals. I was there with my grandkids ages 14 months and 41/2 years. They enjoyed playing the the playhouses with store, restaurant and vet set ups. They also enjoyed riding the pedal tractors, filling up with gas and pushing the lawn mower. They had goats and horses to... More

It's $8 for adults and $6 something for kids. A bucket of Food consists of about 8 skinny carrots and 1 cup of feed for around $3. They had a small village for young kids 5 and younger to play in, and the petting zoo was very limited. A couple donkey, a couple pigs, a couple small goats, a couple... More

Not worth the price. The petting zoo area is small, and somewhat depressing. The animals seem unhappy and there isn't much to the area (just pens and shelter for the animals). The children enjoyed the play area which is really neat (a child size historic Main Street like area). However, when paying for a petting zoo, not worth it!

Besides the animals they have a mini kids village made by the owner. The kids LOVE this area. They usually play for over an hour before we even get to the animals. Since it was October we also painted pumpkins. there is a cute gift area where you enter. we always buy each child a toy animal when we leave.... More

This is a very nicely run, wonderfully thought out animal farm. The animals are well cared for and the whole place is very safe and clean. Plus, there are lots of wonderful things for toddlers and young children to play with - Lil Tykes play house, tools and vehicles. This is especially welcome for families traveling with young children who... More

Thank you so much for posting your review of Plum Loco! We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit. If I may make one small correction regarding your reference to the "Little Tykes Playhouse" - our child sized farm house is not manufactured by Little Tykes. It is made of wood, with fully paneled walls, and tile flooring. My... More

This place has a small town built for little kids ages up to about 7, after that age, they might be too old. There are toys for them to play with. We did feed the animals which consisted of carrots for the horses and grain for the goats.

Thank you for your review of Plum Loco. Our play-farm village is designed for children from toddler through around age 8 - but hopefully older children and adults can still enjoy our giant board games and lawn games. And of course - animal lovers of any age will find Animal Acres an enjoyable experience. More
