Our longer tour was cancelled due to wind on the lake, but we were offered the ability to do the shorter tour which we decided to do. Due to the wind they allowed all of us to see the conditions and determine if we still wanted to go. The kayaking was a little challenging as we were novices and it was windy/choppy, but the views were great and the guide was fantastic. She shared information about the area and Door County in general and also made sure everyone was comfortable with the kayaking.

We didn't plan on doing this, but when we saw so many people out on the water, it seemed like it might be fun. I didn't think there would be a chance of getting in on the same day, but they made it happen and we were on the water that afternoon. I was concerned initially about my youngest daughter being in an open kayak, but after speaking to the guides and looking at some of the pictures online, I wasn't worried at all. The weather was great and we all had a fabulous time. My two older daughters were in a two-person kayak, as was my wife and youngest, and I was in a single. They were super-easy to navigate and we were able to go into a cave and got to see the area from a really different perspective. We completely lucked out on the weather - we went back to Cave Point state park today, and there were no kayakers due to the huge waves. Compared to some of the other places in the area, their prices were a bit better and the staff was extremely professional. Next time we're in Door County, we'll definitely be going back!

I never thought I’d kayak on Lake Michigan but I’m glad I was convinced. This was a beautiful way to see Cave Point park and experience the landscape. Steph was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable about the area and very capable when one of our tour members tipped his kayak! The only downside to our trip was that the lake was a bit choppy after a storm and that made for some pretty nerve wracking moments, but Steph and other employees were very conscious of safety throughout. Be prepared to get a bit wet and feel sore later.

We took the cave tour - so much fun!! The wind was supposed to be pretty heavy when we originally booked, so staff called me almost right away to move our reservation to a later time. They absolutely care about safety! Dylan was our guide - he was really fun, gave us amazing information, and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. We couldn’t get close to the caves due to high water, but Dylan still made it fun and interesting!! We would definitely return for more tours!

We took the Eco Kayak Tour with our guides Patrick and Evan today and had a wonderful time. I was so impressed with their professionalism and knowledge of the wetlands. The trip was relaxing and I would definitely encourage those who want to see nature and enjoy a calm waters to take this trip. We had beginners who had never kayaked and several others who were very experienced. Everyone enjoyed the trip. I am looking forward to the Cave Point trip or trying out the E bikes next time. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

I kayak quite a bit back home but I was nervous about kayaking on the lakes in Door County because of the wind and waves. However, there were families with children on the tour of "Death's Door." The view was fantastic and it was worth the effort paddling against the wind. I also joined a relaxing paddle through the Mud Lake Estuary and smiled the entire time - it was so calm and peaceful. Our guide, Austin was knowledgable about the history of the marsh and it was nice to see this hidden gem up close.

Cliff jumping at the Devil’s Bathtub was an unexpected and fun experience on a warm, calm day on the lake. Andy was a great guide, very personable and very helpful, worked well with a variety of levels of experience. The caves were well worth the paddling. Definitely worth doing.

We had a great experience on the Cave Point Kayak tour! The tour gave us a view of the Lake Michigan coastline, especially of Cave Point, that you just can't appreciate from the shore. Our guide, Dee, was competent, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our tour was rescheduled twice due to the weather, and not only was it worth the wait, but we also appreciated the concern for everyone's safety shown by the cancellation decisions.

This was a good experience and our guide was fantastic! The weather was perfect; they called us the day before our tour to reschedule due to windy conditions, which we appreciated very much. Even with low winds and wakes, it was challenging for beginning kayakers like ourselves. But we managed and our guide made sure everyone stayed together.

We had a great time on the Mink River Eco kayak tour with guide Cora. We were bummed we had to change our original Cave Point kayaking tour because of high winds and waves. DC Adventures was very accommodating when I called the day before our reservation and was able to switch us to the Mink River tour.
Despite the rainy, foggy, chilly day, Cora made the tour fun. Riding some of the whitecaps on the lake entrance to the river added to the fun.
