- Dale S1 contributionOne of my favorite places to spend a day treasure hunting!I have gone there whenever I get a chance for many years now, I almost always find something interesting and affordable even if my intention is just to take a friend and not to buy (I could stand to sell some things myself as my "collections" have grown too large. This place is huge and there are many rooms on many floors. it is fun just to look and see many things that bring back memories...things my grandparents had, things my parents had, things I had, and things my grown children had (I'm becoming vintage myself I guess!). There are many different vendor's booths so if you don't like the price of an item you may find it for less elsewhere. It's mainly organized by seller rather than item though one area may be a bit heavier on glassware if that is of interest. The top floor is mostly furniture from bygone eras. But aside from that, you have to search for treasures which is half the fun! Bring cash or check, I have had them hold large items for me that wouldn't fit in my car, no complaints about customer service. Check or ask for sales (check their website) as often they will have a nice discount on anything made of wood, made of metal, glass, etc. I have been pleasantly surprised by an unexpected discount at checkout. Prices are reasonable, often less than other smaller antique stores. There are several antique malls with similar items I frequent and this is by far the largest and my favorite. It is not a thrift store. I know a lot of people argue over the definition of antiques and vintage, I stopped by an antique store a couple years ago in the Chicago area that had museum quality furniture centuries old, wardrobes way to big for my Victorian house (would fit a mansion or castle), huge grandfather clocks, mostly imported from Eastern Europe, with appropriately hefty (reasonable for what it was) price tags, probably not much selling for under a grand, this is nothing like that. This is full of things I can afford and use for home décor, collecting, or function (like a treadle sewing machine or vintage glassware which fits all 3 categories for me.) If you are anything like me, you will not be disappointed. I'm planning to take a friend tomorrow.Visited May 2022Written November 25, 2022
- timsmith2018Madison, Wisconsin6 contributionsA very large and wonderful antique hunting groundThis has been my favorite antique stop for over 30 years. It is huge and I have found many wonderful items here for good prices. Watch for the regular sales and save even more. Staff is helpful and friendly. Cash or check but I think the last time I was there they started taking credit cards. Some items are in locked cabinets but most item are not and this makes it such a fun place to brows and look over items.Visited December 2019Written June 8, 2020
- Sophia D1 contributionawesomeThis place is great! Always makes for a fun Wisconsin Day trip. You will find whatever you're looking for here, and you might even find things you didn't know you needed as well. Prices are great and I always leave satisfied!Visited January 2020Written January 21, 2020
- Madeline G1 contributionUnwelcoming establishmentGreat stuff, worst customer service I've experience in quite some time (with the exception of Jen and Terry). Their ATM ran out of cash, after I was assured it was full. They reluctantly held the items I couldn't pay for (because their ATM had no cash in it.........). I ended up having to go to a gas station ATM the following day and then back to the antique store for my abandoned items (since they were getting ready to close and wouldn't wait for me to get back with cash, this became a two day project) I spent $2,200 here and was treated like a second class citizen. I will never be back. I feel like all my treasures are now cursed... time to break out the sage or something. I don't know.Visited September 2022Traveled soloWritten September 12, 2022

- Jean G7 contributionsFor 1893 Columbian expo loversThis antique mall is the home of the Columbus museum. This is a little hidden gem in rural Wisconsin. Beside having all manner of kitch and treasures, it has a huge and fascinating museum with a vast collection of images and souvenirs from the 1893 Columbian expo. It has an amazing model of the Ferris wheel. If you have an interest in the Columbian expo worlds fair , it is a must see...then read Devil in the white city. By the way. - Amber DMoline, Illinois21 contributionsLove this placeWe have gone to this antique mall once a year for the past two years, and I always find something to buy. The staff is very friendly. We had our young children with us, but we have been training them to not touch anything. There are a lot of breakables, so if your young ones can't keep hands off, I wouldn't bring them there. This place is huge, and they provide you with carts or baskets for your items. We will definitely try to go back again next year.Visited August 2015Traveled with familyWritten August 26, 2015
- TechGirl425Milwaukee, Wisconsin117 contributionsMassive and lots of funIf you enjoy casual antique malls, this one will definitely satisfy your hunger for volume and variety. The mall has neither a regular shape nor any discernible rhyme or reason (located in a rambling old building with uneven floors and many rooms) but that's part of the fun! We often joke about tying ropes around our waists before going in...like cave explorers...so we can find our way back to the entrance. It's easy to get turned around. Lots of stuff to see here! Like a typical antique mall, each booth is rented by individual vendors. And there are literally HUNDREDS of booths to check out. Allow at least a couple of hours to wander around and marvel at all of the items on display. As other reviewers have stated, there doesn't seem to be anything really high-priced here. You'll probably find whatever you're looking for at a pretty good price. (Just make sure to grab it right away--especially on your first visit, don't count on being able to find your way back to a specific booth.) The main entrance/lobby has a little seating area with restrooms, snacks, and beverages for sale if you need to take a break. Also nice: if you accumulate an armload of items to purchase, just take them up to the register. The friendly staff will gladly place your treasures aside while you continue shopping.Visited December 2014Traveled as a coupleWritten December 20, 2014

We spent about 3 hours there one Sunday morning just to pass some time. We were tickled they were open. During that time, we only saw the lower level of antiques and the last 45-60 mins we kind of rushed just so we could see "everything". Never did see the museum. We'll have to go back to see the rest. Everything was nicely displayed and clean. Interesting building as well.

I felt compelled to review this mall because of the negative review on here. Yes, I know, antiques should be 100 years old to be official. But how many antique malls these days have all 100 year-old items? Not many! My friend and I drove up from Madison to go here. We knew what it was like because we were here several years ago and wanted to check it out again. There are 3 massive floors of interesting items. We didn't buy a whole lot, but for the price of admission (free), we had 3 hours of entertainment looking at every conceivable item under the sun.

This place is amazing, so much to see, so much to do. With so many booths, it makes it easy to price shop similar items for the best price. This is NOT a thrift store but an antique mall. Almost every item in this place is a real treasure. Find something a little over priced? Keep looking, you will most likely find the same thing offered by another vendor at a better price. Give yourself lots of time to shop this place. It is huge and fun.
