The pomace is not that big, but it is very organized, clean, and staff very friendly, it has some history of this little lovely town, nice for kids.

"Downtown" Cable hosts the historic log library and just around the corner the little Museum. They have a nice historic representation of the area with its colorful history of logging the majestic white pine forests. They also have special programs for kids in the summer, some taxidermy of interesting local species, and helpful, enthusiastic docents. After an hour in there,... More

I brought my daughter (12 months) and two nephews (18 months and 3 years) to the Cable Natural History Museum two times this year (summer and fall 2015). I believe it was $5 for adults and free for kids to explore the exhibit. The underwater exhibit is very fun and interactive even for the little ones! It is hard to... More

Although quite small, this nature museum has very good educational opportunities. It is very clean, neat, and well-organized. There are many educational classes and many resources available. The "swim with the turtles"video is a very enjoyable feature for all ages.

Try the food in the main dining room because our party of 4 eat in the bar only. If the weather permits, eat out on the patio.

We went to see the Raptor Show which was free. Donations were welcome. Visited the museum (fee) before the show. Very well done. Informative, interactive, & fun for both kids & adults. Gift shop was nice. Be sure to take a peak at their exhibit holding room - lots of species that are not currently on exhibit. They only have... More

We have been coming to the area for many years and this was a first time visit. It was very interesting, well maintained. Museum staff was friendly and informative. They have a good website which will help you plan your visit since they offer special showings and have classes. We will continue to stop in and support this community resource.... More

This little local museum is jam-packed full of animals, art, gifts, and has a major new exhibit each year. If you're staying in the area, check their calendar - we took a basket-making class one year and enjoyed an owl prowl another time. Lots of activities for kids, too.
