This was our first escape room. Reading the reviews I had some second thoughts but our visit was really good. Montana, the hostess was great explained things very well and prompted us when she saw us struggling. We were so into it we forgot we could ask for a clue lol. I had a hard time mostly because it was to dim for me to make out some of the objects, but the family pulled us through. we didnt get the cash but we were so close when our time was up. Thanks for a fun time on Fathers Day If your looking for some good fun and mind games try it .

My dad and I signed up for two rooms together, The Janitor's Closet and the Corrupt Candidate. We had an excellent time at both.
Janitor's Closet was the more challenging of the two, where we finished with only 30 seconds left on the clock, but we really enjoyed both. Fun designs with a lot of unique puzzles and problems that'll keep you guessing. The puzzles are fair (if you encounter something that you don't think you can solve, there's always a way to get past it) and the themes are well done.
I came from almost two hours away, and it was definitely worth my trip. I had a really good time.

I booked this excursion for my family of four including my husband, two adult children (20 & 21) and myself. I saw the deal through Groupon and had never heard of such an experience before. I was looking for something to do to celebrate the birthdays of my son and husband as they are just a week apart. I had NO idea what to expect. We arrived early and discovered that another group of four would be joining us. I wasn't sure how I felt about that. Our host greeted us and set the scenario. The other family had participated in activities like this before. Without their lead, we would have sat there with no idea how to proceed. Once we got the hang of it, eight people in the room was a bit much. We didn't always know what clues were discovered. Communication wasn't the best between us as we didn't know each other and didn't want to offend anyone by being bossy or overstepping. We wanted them to have a great experience as well. They were a delightful group and were lucky with whom we were put with. The randomness of being booked with anyone could make or break your experience. Also, the lighting made it very difficult to read the clues. I assume the lighting was meant to add atmosphere, but when your eyes hit 50, light is rather essential, and the lack of it added frustration rather than excitement. Overall it was fun. When we did figure out a clue and were able to unlock another piece to the puzzle, it was exciting. My family members and I each stated we would be interested in another experience like this one. Catch 22 has two more rooms to explore, so we may be back.

This is a clever idea but the props were cheap and bordering on grade school art project. We were 6 adults in Nana's room and it was a small room and very hot...ugh. The room was dark and difficult to see things. Clues were hard to come by (part of the game) and it was a challenge but need to be replaced every now and then because of overuse. Giving it a C+.

Thank you for the visit. We see that you did Nana’s Study which is our oldest room. We can admit that it’s not close to our techiest room but as mentioned it is still challenging and FUN as most of our patrons tend to agree. If you did Nana’s, I’m sure you received a great deal as this is one of our Groupon rooms. If you’d like to try a room that’s up to par with your props standard, it will cost full price.
Again! Thanks for the visit!

Have been to a few escape rooms and this one needs some work.
First off, the teenager that was the host didn't seem at all interested in his job and openly admitted due to being understaffed, the room setup had some problems.
The room is falling apart and needs some repairs/replacements. WAY too much duct tape holding things together.
My suggestion would be to scrap this room all together and start fresh with something with more tasks that are fun and high-tech, instead of just searching for paper based trivia clues, which is the majority of the game.
Disappointed, and should have paid more attention to the online coupons. We paid full price!

Disappointing. The game was moving along and we were generally enjoying ourselves. We were finding things but not moving forward, so after struggling we looked at click - 30 minutes left. So we asked for a hint and things moved along. Then in no time, we were asking for another clue. With 5 minutes left we asked for a last clue. We were close but we got stuck, time over. So what was so bad? When the person managing our room came in, we discovered that she had penalized us 20 minutes for going out of order or she judged us guessing - 2 penalties of 10 minutes each . (1) During the game, we had no idea we had gone out of order or that she was taking time away. (2) We paid $30 per person for a 60 minute experience. And we got a 40-minute experience without the opportunity to win.
After complaining to the owner, we were given a 30% discount for the lost time. She tried to make it right, but truly did not understand why we were upset. She said the penalties discourage cheating and enhance the group experience. But we were not intentionally cheating and the penalties were a surprise that seriously ruined our experience.
By the way, the owner said that we had one of the hardest rooms. It has 15 percent success rate. And that room is the only room with penalties. Coincidence? ... ridiculous.

Wow! After black mailing a company to give you back MORE THAN 30% because you threatened to leave a bad review if we didn’t, you leave a bad review anyway. I understood why you were upset and agreed to give you more than the 30% you asked for.
Not to mention, there was another group who joined yours and after speaking with you and seeing your disappointment I wanted to make sure they weren’t equally upset. I took it upon myself to reach out to them. The only reason they were disappointed was because they couldn’t tell you not to touch the items you were touching seeming they didn’t know you, which caused their experience to be ruined. I happily gave the other group a free visit to Catch 22 for the trouble and they were very grateful.
I’m sorry we couldn’t resolve this matter the first time and I hope you are happy with your decision to write this review.
Best!

This was my boyfriend and I's second experience with escape rooms. They are always so much fun and great for a group activity! We did the Janitor room and almost made it out! It was challenging, but we enjoyed ourselves. The staff was great and we will definitely be returning.

Had a great time trying to figure out the clues and puzzles set up in the room. There were some surprises and the clues were helpful. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Great place for something new. We tried two of their rooms and found them challenging and fun at the same time. We escaped one and were defeated by the other. Can't wait to head back up and try the third room.

This was our family's first escape room experience and we will definitely be back for more!
We went during Christmas break which is a very busy time for them and when we signed up online there was already another group of four booked. It turned out that we were all new to this so it actually worked out pretty well. We were told that the majority of the year we would have had the room to ourselves.
We booked The Janitor and that room was dimly lit, the other rooms are better lit. It made it more of challenge, but that's what it's all about. I should have brought reading glasses with me and I will in the future in case I'm in a room where the type is small or the lighting is low.
Thanks for the great time!
