We walked the 7 km from the carpark up to The Fanes through the snow with wonderful views all around. After lunch at the Refugio we returned by toboggan - a memorable experience.

Our third visit did not disappoint. Food superb, staff brilliant and to top it all some very lively musical entertainment. The views are breathtaking.

The scenery was good, after a steep walk up from Pereru. The flowers were out in June. There were lodges available to eat or stay in. Several trails or paths to choose from.

Beautiful hiking above timberline. Vast meadows with lovely wildflowers even in September though steep and very rocky.
