What a store

Was really impressed with how immense this store was in the middle of nowhere really! If you need shoes, they have what you need, no doubt! Really helpful staff and friendly!

We stop at The Shoebox almost every time we drive to the Freeport IL area. We've received excellent service every time we've been there. I kid you not, I had at least six people ask if they could help me. The store typically has a large number of staff on hand to handle the large number of shoppers. They carry... More

I was talking with a friend about the trouble I have finding shoes that fit properly. I wear a size 12 EEEEE and trying to find dress/casual shoes is very hard. I have even bought custom made shoes in the past. He said to try the Shoe Box west of Madison. I made the drive and am very happy I... More

We stumbled upon this location, but I will definitely be planning another road trip to incorporate a stop here. So many brands (and so many choices within each brand). Staff were extremely helpful and prices were fantastic. If you love shoes, or need work boots, it's a must stop.

We were traveling through Wis when we were looking for a spot to take a break. Despite being located in an unassuming building, I noticed all the cars in the parking lot. So we stopped. Now we will make an annual visit to the Shoebox. I hadn't had my feet actually measured by a shoe store employee since my childhood.... More

A huge shoe and boot store in Black earth, WI. They have about every style and size shoe that you would want. We went there and were able to pick out a pair of loafers about exactly what we were looking for in the size and width that we wanted. Nice to have the options of the different sizes in... More

They take time and measure your feet each time we go. I love that they listen to my foot issues, finding me the most comfortable shoes!

Unbelievable place, prepare to be overwhelmed! Yuuge selection of shoes, Boots, Western, WInter, Formal, work, athletic, casual you name it they got it...and in a size that fits also. Laces and socks too! We were they when (seemingly) every school age kid in a 50 mile radius was there for back to school shopping, so it was insane. Once we... More

I visit Black Earth every year, have for the past 25 years. I visit the Shoe Box at least once each visit. Sometime twice! Each year I buy myself or a friend something! The service is amazing. The prices in the main showroom are a lot higher than they were in the early years. Seems I heard that they were... More
