While visiting southern WI we came across this winery and thought we would check it out. The sampling bar is quite small, but there was no one else there when we were; however, not sure what they would do if they had more than 6 people at one time. I did enjoy that you get to try all their wines for $5, instead of only just 3 or 5. Of the wines I cannot think of any that I did not like, but a few stuck out as favorites. Field 3 was probably my favorite red wine; although it is quite dry. But it has a great flavor. VIN 10 was my favorite white, it had grapefruit notes and was kind of sweet and easy to drink (we ended up drinking a bottle on the outdoor patio). Finis the desert wine was also really good, I love sweet wines, but the only reason it was not my favorite is because this is a desert wine and would not be able to drink more than a glass. If you cannot decide if you like red or white then try Badger Blush, it is your standard rose so it is not too sweet and not too dry, just an easy drinking wine. There is bound to be a wne for everyone at Botham so check them out if you are in the area.

A most delightful place. We visited around noon on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all, giving us time to chat it up with the manager there. She filled us in on all the history of the place, the upcoming calendar of events, and hosted our wine tasting. Their wines are all very enjoyable and go down easy.

Complimentary wine tasting for up to 3 wines and a small fee for more. Wines are very reasonably priced and an excellent value.

Lovely winery with a pleasant location, room to bring your own food and picnic with a bottle or two of their wine while sitting Pon their patio. Pleasant staff, we found several of their wines very tasty. Easy to find and well worth the visit.

Tasting offered 3 wines for free or all for $5, with ten-ish available to try. Most tend toward sweet and semi-dry ~ easy and refreshing on a summer day! Affordable bottle prices, with indoor or outdoor seating to enjoy a glass and cheese platter if you want. Retail space is fun and staff was great. Will definitely be back to try new releases or visit during events!

It was a beautiful drive to the winery, but the vistas from their patio are average. The wines were fine, but tend toward the sweet and semi-dry. Not much variety when it comes to dry wines. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Off the beaten path in an old restored barn. Great farm setting and would be cool to rent out the back room for a corporate event or large group. Wines are on the sweeter side but they do have several drier whites/reds. Definitely worth a quick stop if you are in the area!

On a perfect Fall day late in September, we decided to pull off of Highway 151 onto County K near Barneveld to renew acquaintances at the Botham tasting room. Despite its proximity to this busy thoroughfare , the vineyard property remains secluded and peaceful. We had no plan to purchase a lot of wine. We had recently acquired all the wine we needed for a 5 course charity dinner form other locations. We chose to taste 3 for free, each of which we had not sampled before. We were impressed and purchased the 10 wine tasting for $6. We liked 3 whites, Driftless,Vin10 and the desert wine, Finis.. After trying these wines with our salad and desert courses, We liked the Driftless and Finis well enough to use them. The staff was very helpful, giving us the opportunity to re-taste several of the wines and answer our grape and blending questions.
We didn't have time to linger on the deck with other visitors, but look forward to doing so. Recommended.

This was the last winery we stopped at the end of an eleven winery in three days run. We did a tasting and I especially enjoyed the Vin 10. The indoor seating space was so rustic and fit the feel of the refurbished barn perfectly.

Beautiful location, awesome inside winery, especially if you like gas station nostalgia! And the wine? I don't like the "cherry wine" wineries. These are really, REALLY good wines. I'm glad we made the stop. And -- you can drink your wine out on their patio, and overlook the open pastures, beautiful!
