A few hours drive from Chicago there is great rock climbing. The park didn't have much for facilities, but if you have your own gear you are good to go.

We spent the afternoon hiking around the lake while visiting nearby Wisconsin Dells. Beautiful scenery and a nice getaway from the bustle of water parks and busy traffic

Devils lake is great for hiking, swimming and just hanging out. We have gone there for years. Fishing is nothing spectacular, but there are fish there and no boats so it is nice for shore and kayak fishing. Used this nice lake to teach folks...More

The water is crystal clear. We hike here all the time. They have canoe and boat rentals. Great place for family picnics. Overall the best state park I've been to.
