My husband and I spent one full day here, and we did very little of the activities offered at this amazing state park! We arrived on Monday at 11am, and parking was filling up very quickly. We had to park a ways away from the...More

My fiance and I went out camping this past weekend, we tried to camp in the park but it was full as expected, thank goodness there a private camp site near by called "wheelers." The state park is about 1 mile away so not horribly...More

We just got back from our first trip to Devil's Lake and I'm kicking myself for not having gone sooner. There is something for everyone here...water, easy hikes, not-so-easy hikes, downright difficult hikes, picnic areas, grills...you could easily spend 3-4 days here. I tried to...More

We went there on a sunny and hot summer weekend - we were glad we got to the park at 10 am - parking was filling quickly. You need a sticker to get in ($16 for a day, $38 for a year) as it is...More

Devil's Lake is a wonderful lake with no motorized boats allowed which not only keeps the lake clean but there's no noise pollution either! There is so much to do here from great camping, wonderful swimming, to awesome hiking. This is a must see lake!

Great place to take kids for a day to play in the water and to take a hike. Picnic benches available and lots of time to spend kicking back and enjoying the day. Wisconsin licensed cars get a $3 break.

Great place to hang out with friends and family. Weather wasn't too hot and we were able to enjoy ourselves with a cookout. They have a camp store where you can find most anything you need; hot/cold food, jackets/t-shirts, gifts, camping gear, toys, etc. If...More

Really pretty state park with plenty to do. There were great hiking trails, a nice beach, an area for cooking and picnics. Plenty of parking and only $16 for a non resident. The hike was fun and offered some great views. I would suggest a...More

We also had just a few hours. I think it depends where you want to go. We wanted to go hiking to Balanced Rock and Devils Doorway. Both these rock formations were in the south entrance, so that's why we parked there. I... More

If you don't have a national park lifetime pass, which sad to say, only recently went up in price, then you would have to purchase a daily pass. The daily pass does give you in and out privileges for the 24 hour period, if... More

I would suggest parking in south lot, climbing up East bluff and hiking to North Shore of lake. Enjoy concessions or a kayak rental on North Shore of lake, then walk back along railroad tracks on the East shore of the lake... More
