I recently went on the Baileys Harbor Boat Tour on a Monday when in Door County on my summer trip. I decided to do one boat tour on the Green Bay side out of Sister Bay earlier in the trip, and then I did this boat ride on Lake Michigan! I really enjoyed the experience, and these boat tours were awesome for seeing things from the vantage point of the water! I went on the 10:30AM tour to save a few dollars, and the man who took my reservation a couple weeks prior was very friendly and informative. They did not charge in advance or anything because the conditions of Lake Michigan are so unpredictable, so it is too much of a hassle to have to refund everybody, in the event of too windy, water too rough, etc. Luckily, it was a beautiful day with ideal weather, and the trip could go on as scheduled! I thought the $36 + tax rate was reasonable, and this was about a 2-hour tour, as we were returning by close to 12:30. To my surprise, the boat was a bit smaller, so I felt like this was an intimate experience with only maybe 20-25 other passengers. It was actually very warm on the day I took the tour (about 90), so a jacket ended up not being necessary, but the crew members said this was probably the first time all season that you didn't really need a jacket. It was a relaxing ride for the most part, and I enjoyed the narration and information presented--it was not too much, not too little, and just the perfect amount, in my opinion. The 3 crew members aboard the boat were all friendly and professional, and they had a sense of humor. We sailed out near Cana Island Lighthouse and a couple others, and they stopped to show us a few shipwrecks below the water! I got a good mix of sun and shade from where I was sitting, too, which was nice. I had a great time on this boat tour, and I would recommend for an activity in the Baileys Harbor area!

I joined my friend from Door County on this cruise she had never been on either. Nice small capacity boat with good captain and crew/guide, focused on area history and ecology. Enjoyable afternoon and we had great weather - and saw a bald eagle for good luck.

I spoke with a gentlemen on the phone twice - he was very friendly, gave plenty of info, and was very accomodating.

The tour was the perfect length, the captain and other tour guide were very knowledgable and entertaining. Would recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed this relaxing and scenic cruise. Our skipper, Jay, provided an informative and delightful take on Door County lighthouses, Fresnel lenses, Door County shipwrecks, cormorants, Lake Michigan side arborial forests and area restaurants. This, paired with ample quiet time cruising, made for a wonderful quiet side tour. Highly recommended.

We like to be on the water whenever we can and have taken many a cruise around to see local sites and learn something. We were able to get to see all the shipwrecks, the water was super clear. The weather was perfect. The crew was more or less somewhat knowledgeable of the area, but was like this a sunken boat, we don't know much about anything, but we can tell a story or two for those not familiar with the Great Lakes.

It was okay trip and some really cool sites and picture taking, but dont expect a fully narrated tour.

There was almost no narration during the first half of the cruise and none on the second half. Because of poor visibility ship wrecks weren't visible which was understandable. What wasn't good was they weren't even talked about. The captain and crew were knowledgeable but much more interested in share town gossip among themselves.
They seemed like nice people who simply checked out toward the end of the season. The trip wasn't cheap and while the scenery was lovely and boat was fine, the overall adventure was disappointing.

Our captain and the docent were excellent. First and foremost our captain was concerned with our safety and comfort. He is an excellent sailor. I am one of the people that likes to see the other side of a body of water. We were going out on Lake Michigan so there is a little concern. The water was increasingly rough on our ride, but our captain managed without a problem. Our mission of sightseeing was accomplished and our return was uneventful due to the work and diligence or our captain. Our docent was a wealth of information. We will definately cruise with this team again.

We set sail on Lake Michigan in hopes of seeing a couple of ship wrecks and three light houses. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They shared information about the lake and the area. The weather was great and the waters calm. We were able to see two shipwrecks and the three light houses.

We did the sunset cruise out of Baileys Harbor tonight. It was fantastic! Everything from the booking to the boating! Incredible views of 4 lighthouses... amazing sunset.. excellent captain and really fun tour guide/crew member. Don't miss this. And, don't miss the tours they operate out of Gills Rock. Those are fantastic, too.
