Took a weekend trip up to Door County and wanted to take advantage of the scenery. Multiple people around town suggested that we should take a trip to endure what Gravity Trails has to offer. We took their advice and had a blast! Not only were the tour guides terrific but the zip lining itself was fantastic. I would highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon at Gravity Trails you will not be disappointed!

I recently visited door county with my family of 4. We were looking for something to do on the water and decided to try our first kayak trip. We booked with Gravity Trails and kayaked out of Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor, WI. The tour was fantastic! Water was warm crystal clear, could see down 20 feet plus! Our guide provided us with great information on the history of the bay and door county as well as a couple shipwreck stories. We even managed to paddle over an old schooner that had gone down in 1878! We had fantastic views of the wreck in 7 to 10 feet of water. Afterwards, we grabbed lunch at Top Deck located on the beach boasting fantastic views!

The ziplines are short. My issue was the guide who decided it would be fun to spin me around while in the harness. He turned it as far as it could go and then let go so I would spin and get dizzy. Yes, I was excessively dizzy and that night I noticed a ringing in my ears that has not gone away. Would not recommend. If I could prove that the ringing in my ears was from the excessive spinning/equlibrium, I would.

Hey TQ,
I'm sorry to hear your experience with us wasn't as great as it could've been. Some zip liners enjoy spinning, but I understand that you do not and that should not have happened so I sincerely apologize. We are in the process of building a new state-of-the-art zip line with higher and longer runs that will be opening in spring of 2013. I hope you consider giving us another try. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your next trip the best you've ever had!

Gravity Trails offers a variety of outdoor activities for their customers. As a family we tried the Kayaking and had a wonderful time! We went on a kayak tour of North Bay through Gordon's Lodge and after we grabbed a bite to eat at the Top Deck Restaurant. We had a great time with our guide who was very professional. He made sure we were well trained and very comfortable out on the water. overall it was a great experience and would suggest it to anyone! Thanks for a great adventure Gravity Trails!

If there is a must do in Door County it is definitely Gravity Trails. I loved the entire experience from the minute we started. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, fun and has the best attitude . . . always fun and positive. There is no better way to spend an afternoon whether you are with an entire group or just yourself, they accommodate everyone. And honestly you can't beat the price. I would pay double from what they charge for this adventure. Highly recommend this for the entire family.

We took our sons, 14 and 11, to Gravity Trails on a rainy day for a zip line excursion. Our guides were Will and Adam who were just terrific and really made the trip so much fun for the kids. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly, very safety-minded and went out of their way to make this a really fun event. This will become a regular visit during our trips to Door County.

We booked the Kayak Shipwreck Tour online because we couldn't get a hold of anyone by phone. We arrived at our designated time and place but there was no one there from Gravity Trails. We, and another group who were there waiting as well, attempted to email and call the company to no avail. After waiting about 1 hour, we all left. Later that day, I was able to phone them and they stated that they had already credited my charge and apologized for the cancellation due to wind conditions. I told them that someone should have contacted us by phone, email, or in person. She did agree and apologized again. I understand cancelling for weather conditions, in fact it is a good idea to ensure safety. However, we should have been notified instead of waiting. I will go with another tour group if we try this again. I am only giving them 1 star because the woman was very nice on the phone.

Hi Anne,
We apologize that your kayak trip was canceled due to inclement weather and that no one was able to get a hold of you. As I'm sure that you know, phone service is very spotty throughout the Door Peninsula and especially in North Bay. However, that is not an excuse for the miscommunication on our part. Many times we wait until the last hour before a tour begins to cancel a tour due to weather circumstances. We try our best to get people out on the water but it is difficult even with our current technology to predict the hourly forecast.
That being said, we do strive to have the absolute best tour experience here at Gravity Trails. We are under new management this year and would like to offer you a complimentary tour as a consolation and so that you can see how great our tours really are. Again, please accept our apologies.
-Michael

When in Doir County this is an absolute must-do!! We went on an amazing kayak tour in Ellison Bay. Our guide, Andrew, was so much fun! He was entertaining as well as educational. The scenery was spectacular. After such a great kayak trip we decided to try ziplining!! Soooooooo much fun! We'll be doing both every year! Next year we are also going to make time for the Gem Mining as well! Great people and a great addition to your Door County vacay!
