This is a great option to pickup your jams, honey, pies, candy as gifts or just for you. Buy lots of the chocolate cherries they were tasty. Tons of interesting local food and wine choices.

My friend visited Koepsel’s and brought back a jar of Cherry Jelly for me as a gift. Delicious!
I just put in an online order to Koepsel’s for 8 more jars of jellies...I going to try the other flavors🙂

Very tasty!

Our motor coach tour group visited the farm market on August 30, 2021, They had a very friendly staff and welcome our group on board the coach. The products were fresh and displayed well. I purchase several home made jams and maple syrup. I would highly recommend stopping.

We stopped here thinking we could pick up food and produce for our stay in Wood County. But, most everything was a canned product (i.e. in jars) or dry goods. They had some nice looking cinnamon rolls. But, the guy who got there right before us bought them all out.

We picked out a number of things and checked out. A gentleman in a wheelchair and a young woman checked out our purchases. Neither of them spoke to us at all. Not a hello or a thank you. Nothing. I'm not surprised by impersonal service at a large grocery store, but don't expect it from a small market in a tourist area.

As an aside, we bought some mini pretzel balls that were yummy.

I live in Door County full time and Koepsels is a very conveniently located farm market. I prefer the canned goods at Seaquists (just north of Sister Bay) and the pies at Bea's up in Gills Rock, but Koepsels in really convenient and they have the best pie crust anywhere.

I went in to buy a pie and it was almost closing time. When I parked I asked if they were closing and a very unkempt man said, "well, we are trying to." A young woman said to come in there was time. I asked if there were any pies left and the woman at the register pointed to the bakery. When I found out the cherry pie was $17 I decided on a kringle instead. I gave her my charge card and she said they wont take credit for anything less than $10 (no ATM on premises). So, I had no choice but to go with the pie. My purse was on the counter (from Turtle Ridge - see review) and she pointed to it and said, "that woman's things are expensive too." I couldn't believe she would make a comment on my personal things. I gave her my charge card and she told me I had to input my PIN. I explained that it was used as a charge card and she said it came up as a debit card and I had no choice. Her whole attitude was one of contempt and the attitude of the staff except for the young girl was that they were doing me a favor by selling me something. I will never go back there and I have already told my friends who live here. I found one of them had a similar experience. If this is how they treat their year round neighbors I hesitate to think how they treat visitors. Stay away from this place. The additional 8 miles to Seaquists is well worth it. You will be treated with respect and kindness there.

Stopped based on Trip Advisor reviews. Many cleanliness issues added up to never returning. Aside from that, was treated rudely...scolded...for getting the floor wet when it was raining outside. Told me she didn't want to get sued. No tongs, spoons in samples, just to use fingers, food uncovered, workers looked sloppy and unclean besides being rude. So many very nice markets to stop at. Stay away from this one!

We rely on Koepsel's for 5 year old cheddar cheese. We cannot locate fine aged cheese in Texas so when we visit our relatives in Wisconsin we head to this place. This trip I loaded up with 5 year old, 8 year old ( simply mouth watering and smooth) and 10 year old yellow cheddar cheese.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. This place is just as advertised - a farm market which means to me that it has the essence of being a very down to earth family owned business.

I’ve been to Koepsel’s more than half a dozen times at various times of day. I seem to be in the minority, but our last visit was just not good at all. The gal behind the counter was unfriendly, the man closing the windows (the closed in 15 minutes) was unfriendly. Just not a great atmosphere this time. So much so we left with just two things. Animal crackers and chocolate covered toffee. The toffee was sooo old. :( We each took a bite and threw the rest away. It tasted stale and smelled worse. Such a bummer! We’ve always made this one of our annual stops and load up on all sorts of goodies, but will drive right on by next year.

I bought a bag of graham pretzels for $6! The check our staff never thanked me and gave a lot of dirty looks. They didn’t seem to like being there. Lots of flies and stale samples. Overall, not pleasant.

We were very impressed with the wide variety of items as well as different sizes available in the products. As I live alone, I like smaller sizes to avoid wasting food. Packaging is attractive and everything is pure and organic, no preservatives. Samples for tasting were available and the selection of flavors were some I've never seen elsewhere.
As for the service, we observed some very rude and annoying CUSTOMERS whose kids were running around, running into customers etc. With all the glass merchandise, it could have been a real problem. The mother was yelling at them but they ignored her and she made no effort to stop them. When the owner walked up, he calmly said "your Mother said that's enough", they made a face and stuck out their tongues at him. When we commented on their rude behavior, he said "these are the people who will write a bad review." I thought he handled the situation very calmly, then the mother gave him a dirty look and sent her husband back to complain. The poor father knew nothing about the kids behavior and the mothers story was how the rude owner wouldn't let them have a pretzel. Totally untrue. As witnesses, we backed up the owner, he then gave the father a bag of pretzels for the boys on their trip home. Who was rude in this scenario?
