Hidden jewel of the past. Wonderfully preserved home and farm in Williamstown. Part of a Foundation and open. Great collection of items from over two Centuries. Long family history in the area. Great to visit.

This is an amazing piece of history with all items being original to the estate. Self guided tour with friendly staff available for any questions you may have. Each room had a detailed description of items, and displays were well done.

While visiting friends in Parkersburg, we went to take a tour of the hall. We went on the 1st weekend of November and it just happened that Veterans w/ 1 guest were free. But the $10 admission fee is well worth it on the self guided tour of the house. There are guides on each of the 3 floors and basement that are very knowledgeable, as well as passionate about the house and history. The house is amazing as all, 100%, of the furnishings, pictures, clothing, you name it, it was all original to the Henderson Family. That in itself leaves you awestruck!! The only "downside" is that they do not allow non-flash photography in the house.

This is a uniquely special home as it was inhabited by 5 successive generations of the same family, all of whom respected its prominence and history. It contains an unprecedented collection of family furniture, clothing, documents, etc. Especially appreciated the ability to see the entire house, all the way up to the belvedere on the top of the mansion. Amazing!
