I stopped here after being at Lake Sherwood. I didn't expect it to be this nice! There is a swinging bridge which was a first for me. The only thing I must say is keep a close eye on children as there are drop offs around the edge and in the water. The bathrooms are very clean and it is... More

I took my kids here for a weekend trip. We spent one day on the river at blue bend. Ate lunch we had packed. Did a little fishing and jumped from some small cliffs. You can see through the water and see the little fish swimming by. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it!

Other than deep in the eastern mountains there are few easily accessible wildernesses like this. It has it all, beautiful wooded areas, rivers, lakes, ponds, brooks, meadows, flora and wildlife. It is simply a magnificent wonderland of nature that once covered most of the eastern United Stated.

It is nice for a recreational and natural excursion. There is swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, playgrounds, picnicking, and nature viewing.

We like this area and have been visiting for over thirty years. Have been staying at various locations over the years and visited at least one or two times a year. Much to do and nice small towns close by. Hiking trails and riding trails for bikes are GREAT.

This was my second trip to Blue Bend and I must say that I'm equally as impressed by the breathtaking view as I was 2 years ago on my first visit! I've been to several watering holes, rivers, lakes and ponds but Blue Bend is the cleanest and most beautiful place I've been to swim! There is little silt and... More
