Great for little ones - lots of animals, train ride, etc. If you are in the Wheeling area, you must go to The Good Zoo, especially around Halloween. The kids dress up in costumes and ride the Train.

This zoo can be comfortably covered in a couple hours with small children. It is delightful and has a nice variety of animals. My grandchildren and we adults REALLY enjoyed it and went twice.

What a great zoo! Exhibits are spread out and the animals have a nice amount of space inside the enclosures. The goats in the petting zoo were wonderful but the coolest thing was to be in the exhibit WITH the kangaroos! Knowledgeable staff and interns. A great time had by all.

The Oglebay Park Good Zoo reflects the geography of the town: hills and valleys. This is a boutique zoo well laid out, but not for the unfit. The exhibits are separated by hills and valleys. Walk up for the bear and otters then back to the level you started only to go down for the zebra. And it continues like... More

The zoo itself wasn't very good. Not many animals and it was mostly walking around. My son was interested in the train and play ground. I wouldn't go back.

This zoo was created after a family lost their 7 year old son and decided to donate money for the creation of a zoo in his name. It's a sad but sweet backstory for this small but fun zoo. Don't expect the sort of larger animals you would from a larger metropolitan zoo, instead enjoy it for what it is,... More

This zoo was just the right size for a couple of hours with my 3yo on foot and pushing my 11mo in a stroller. I should have brought quarters and dollars to buy food for feeding the animals.... You get to pet so many! Bring some hand wipes! And bring sunscreen!! (Don't pet the animals with oily palms tho!) STAFF... More

The good zoo is filled with many animals but some of them belong on farms and are not what you would expect to see at a zoo. There are some kangaroos and wallabies, exotic birds that you can feed, and a few zebras. They are removing the African painted dogs and will have a cheetah in their place. I disagree... More

The walk was nice, great exercise. Multiple convenient facility locations. But all the animals looked really hot and miserable. We didn't get to see the kangaroos because it was so hot they were hiding. There was only one hot lonely zebra. The goats were happy though. The red panda was panting and so was the bear. The bears water looked... More

Thanks so much for visiting the Oglebay Good Zoo last week. The weather was unseasonably warm which can be a little uncomfortable even for us humans. Some of our animals revel in the heat as it mimics their natural habitat. Others are a bit like some of us…they are quick to find the coolest spot and some are lucky enough... More

Me and my husband was really surprised & enchanted to see all the animals they had. Red Panda, Kangaroo , Bald Eagle, etc. you can have a ride around the zoo on a small train and even feeding birds.
