This was a great day trip for us, about an hour and half from home, a hidden gem just over the West Virginia border. The Good Zoo has a good number of exhibits, and although the zoo could probably stand some updating, we loved how...More
This is a surprisingly nice little zoo. It was awesome to get so close to some of the animals - check out the kangaroos where you walk in the same area where they roam freely or take the train through the zebra and ostrich enclosure!...More
Love this little zoo. I have been there a few times. My daughter is going to school at West Liberty University. They have a new ZooSci program there that is affiliated with the zoo. The animals are well taken care and they are always improving...More
My daughter just turned 7 (the "entering 2nd grade" age group) and has been going to zoo camp the past at least 3 years (this year she attended the "Gidgets and Gazmos camp). She loves it! This year, in the camps her age now, the...More
It was very clean No long lines we could take our time to see the animals. It is a small Zoo but the kids had a blast. They loved feeding the birds! The walk is easy but some of the hills might be hard if...More
We took a short little drive over to Wheeling last Saturday. After eating lunch at the Oglebay golf course grill we headed over to the Good zoo.
This is a small zoo, but they had some interesting exhibits. It looked like the inside area that...More
We still go to this every year we visit Oglebay at Christmas, but every year I leave wondering why the admission price is so high. We typically spend 1.5 hours here, and its too cold to go see the animals the time of year we...More
I LOVE the Good Zoo. It's small (you will typically spend 1-2 hours here) but there are a good variety of animals and great encounters. You and a guest can have an encounter with just about any animal in the park! These encounters are separate...More
Nice zoo to blow off a couple hours. Lots of really neat animals such as the red pandas, cheetahs, snow leopard and the zebra. But what really bothered me were the reindeers in their tiny pen running in circles from going stir crazy. You need...More
We just did two of the encounters today! A single encounter was $165 for two people (we did the red panda; we were told if we did three from that list it would be $300) and the purr-fect experience (cheetah and serval) was... More
We just did two of the encounters today! A single encounter was $165 for two people (we did the red panda; we were told if we did three from that list it would be $300) and the purr-fect experience (cheetah and serval) was $400 for two people. The serval alone is $200. The cheetah was awesome, but completely hands off (you feed the cheetah through a fence with a stick). In hindsight we should have probably done the serval only, much more fun!
