This zoo is an amazingly good Zoo considering it is in the middle of a resort park. It takes about 2 hours to go through including the train ride. The train ride is worth it since it takes you all over the zoo including parts you can't get to on foot. The high light for my young grandchildren was the... More

Nice place. Animal enclosures were clean. Definitely recommend for families w/ children. Staff/volunteers were nice. Has wonderful hands on things for children to do & explore. Train ride is available but you only see 3 animals on it. I recommend walking tour first...then train, because you could relax and there was acool breeze. A lot of walking...nothing too strenuous.

Very well maintained, and has a wide variety of critters. One of my favorite parts were the barn animals.

If you're looking for a weekend away with the kids, this is a great place to go! Closer to Christmas would be the most ideal!

Took our kids here for a couple hours to see the animals. It was a terrifically hot day (104), and most of the attractions were inactive. Theres a fun activity next to the Australia exhibit. You can go into an enclosed (by a net) area and feed some birds nectar ($1 each cup). My niece really enjoyed that. Overall, don't... More

Our family vacation went to Oglebay this year. As per of our plans include things for everyone the zoo was a nice addition. I have read some bad reviews about this but I kept in mind it is part of a resort not a stand alone zoo. It's really inexpensive especially when you get the activity bands. I personally found... Great for little ones - lots of animals, train ride, etc. If you are in the Wheeling area, you must go to The Good Zoo, especially around Halloween. The kids dress up in costumes and ride the Train.

This zoo can be comfortably covered in a couple hours with small children. It is delightful and has a nice variety of animals. My grandchildren and we adults REALLY enjoyed it and went twice.

What a great zoo! Exhibits are spread out and the animals have a nice amount of space inside the enclosures. The goats in the petting zoo were wonderful but the coolest thing was to be in the exhibit WITH the kangaroos! Knowledgeable staff and interns. A great time had by all.

The Oglebay Park Good Zoo reflects the geography of the town: hills and valleys. This is a boutique zoo well laid out, but not for the unfit. The exhibits are separated by hills and valleys. Walk up for the bear and otters then back to the level you started only to go down for the zebra. And it continues like... More
