This is what one might expect I suppose for a small town zoo. I was there last Monday to see the lights and couldn't even finish going through once I saw the exhibit with the naked molerats. First I noticed they were confused and having...More

At the zoo are a variety of animals and farm buildings with donkeys and hens. Inside you can see alligators and small creatures. At the theatre is a laser show and an outdoor one in the dark.

The zoo itself can be walked in about 20 minutes, so it is very, very small. You can see all the animals easily, though, so that's nice. Plus, they have lots of play areas to occupy the little kids. The otter encounter is very educational...More

We were staying at the Oglebay Resort and decided to visit the zoo before leaving. It's not a huge zoo, but they do have some interesting animals, and they seem to be well kept and are comfortable. There was a school group of children who...More

We were there in early-November. this is a nice zoo if you are at Oglebay or live in the area. Not so much as a singular destination.
