My wife added this to our list of places to check out and it was very cool. It is not just a shop they have some good historical displays as well. The prices are reasonable for the locally made goods (no mad in china items that I noticed). There was glass, pottery, shirts, honey, syrup, bbq sauce, and much more all locally made. There was also a large selection of books about the area. I would recommend stopping by for about 15-20 minutes. The young lady working was nice and knew a ton about the area and we had a nice chat with her about how the town has been trying to reinvent itself.

A really nice range of interesting artefacts by local West Virginians. Things were pretty well priced.

Walking downtown and checking out the old buildings, we came across the Artisan Center. Once inside, we surprised how big it was and how much history there is there. Friendly staff. Plenty to look at and very well done. Picked up some postcards too. If in the area again, would stop back.

After lunch at the River City Ale Works we went upstairs to the Artisan Center. What a great place to get a sense of Wheeling History and if you are into books this is the place for it. Also the gift shop features WV made products. There are also great displays of goods made by Wheeling Industries over the years. Such a neat place. I want to go back and spend more time here!

I really liked how they had on display and for sale a large array of locally handcrafted items. Downstairs has a very nice restaurant and bar too. I fun place to stop by and spend some money and to just visit.
