Very nice place. Unfortunately the wine is not up to par with other places. We realized they do not have their own vineyards. They buy juice and sometimes grapes. We bought six bottles of wine most of it tasted very vinegar. A little disappointing.

My wife and I enjoyed a wine tasting at Lambert's. We enjoyed the Seyval and Cab Sauv. We ended up visiting on two consecutive days - the first day we had a bottle of Cab Sauv on the patio after the wine tasting, the next day we had a bottle of chilled Seyval. We met another veteran couple the first day we visited - had a great time visiting with them and learning about the HarvestHost program.

We stopped by on a Wednesday morning and were welcomed. The tasting room is warm and homey. They offer dryer wines, sweet wines and some made with fruit. My husband and I liked the Seyval and Syrah best. They weren’t the most sophisticated wines we had ever purchased but we can drink them freely. All wines are priced the same and the price is quite reasonable. Apparently there is money to be made in weddings and a beautiful chapel has been created on the property. There is also a large outdoor space for functions, which is also impressive.

The moment that I opened my car, I could smell the wonderful fireplace! What a welcoming smell!! After a nice tasting, we were given a tour and enjoyed a bottle of merlot on their covered pavilion next to a fire. I was impressed that they had 3 fireplaces going, even though they were not too busy. They also do weddings and are about to complete a new indoor wedding room that is so cute!!!

Stopped for tasting with friends beautiful winery. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did a 5 selection tasting and then purchased a bottle to share at their outside seating. We selected sweet wines to taste and found them very enjoyable. The owner was around very friendly gentleman.

Had a Groupon which was a wonderful deal. A gps was helpful in finding this beautiful property. Met the owner, who was so nice and friendly. He showed us their process for wine making, and a chapel with beautiful stained glass windows that would be perfect for a wedding. A cheese plate with crackers, pickles, and pepperoni, along with wine tasting was included
with the Groupon. Also, a glass to take home. We ordered a glass of our favorite wine and sat outside in a covered area, which the owner was kind enough to start a wood burning fire to enjoy. Covid precautions were taken, and the place was very clean. A nice lady who also worked there told us about special events that sometimes happen. Would like to attend next time in the area.

We initially thought we were just going to make a quick visit here but ended up staying for a while. We met several members of the family who own the winery, got a tour, and tasted several great wines. Not only is there great wine here but beautiful pottery created by Mrs. Lambert. Highly recommend a visit here!

Horrible horrible wine. I never tasted such horrible wine. I could barely drink it, nor my husband. I am not picky about wine either. I never in my life tasted horrible wines like this. Tasted like vinegar. I should have listened to the reviews this time! However, the establishment itself is beautiful and relaxing. What a shame

My fiancé and I stopped here prior to our evening stay at Stonewall Resort. Let me say that this place was great. They have beautiful scenery, great customer service, and nice wines. We were treated well! However, we were not given the wine we ordered. We opened the bottle and then realized we had been given the wrong wine. We took the bottle back inside and it was quickly corrected. We then sat near the fireplace and enjoyed their White Zinfandel. We we will come back and we may stay at their cabin!

I am surprised by the other reviews. Perhaps I expect more from a winery being from Northern Virgina. The place is gorgeous; the location unusal; the welcome was odd (they looked at me like I was lost and no one was wearing a mask); the wine is horrible. The older gentleman who helped me was fabulous, kind, and accomodating. During the "tasting", I recieved no info regarding the grapes used or the flavors to expect, but was not charged for it. I initiated the questions regarding the location of the grapes growth location. I never had a petite syrah or cab sauv that were pink and sweet. Nor have I ever had a pinot grigio served warm and it was the best I tasted.
This place has potential, but it needs an overhaul and location, location, location...

Can you bring a small well behaved dog on to the property I realized that she is not allowed in the buildings.
Written June 19, 2018
Yes, I believe you can. The property is so spread out with different buildings for weddings and other sorts. The owner is super nice, and I couldn't see him turning down that question.
