Start with an 11,000 acre playground serving up the best of the mountains, however you like it. Your days here are like having dessert first. Our Village is situated atop the mountain and gives you access to spa-ing, shopping and even dancing. It all feels better at 4,848 feet.

Our small family of 3 visited Snowshoe Resort for the first time. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Silver Creek and Snowshoe are the same resort for 1 lift ticket and 2 seperate places on the mountain for one price. You will travel by bus from one to the other or take advantage of the free parking available and ski... More

First time at this resort, in comparison with European ski resorts this is smaller. Many snowmaking machines , handy shuttle buses between ski areas. Since this is a resort at which you ski down and get a chair lift back up ( we are used to taking a chair lift from base to top of mountain to ski back down)... More

A pleasure as always. Even with the high temps. Always plenty to do after a morning ski session. Will be back soon.

Before I write this review, I will preface that I am comparing my experiences to only two other places I've been: Wintergreen, VA and Aspen, CO. The good things about this place are that there is a wide variety of runs and terrain, so there are plenty of runs to differentiate skill levels. The mountain itself is beautiful and lovely,... Do not stay at Allegheny Springs!! It is old, outdated, loud and the rooms are very small and uncomfortable!

Overall this is a decent place to go skiing on the East Coast. Especially if you're in the North / South Carolina Virginia, WV, Maryland area. Pricing is about $99 for a day lift ticket. They have a shuttle to take you over for night skiing which is $45 from 4:30 to 9 o'clock at night. Conditions vary depending on... More

Really enjoyed our 5 day stay on the mountain. Long runs and quick lift lines during the week. The runs are a little narrow, especially for the beginners in our group, but we all had fun. They blew snow 3 out of 5 days we were there and the runs were great. There is plenty to do off the slopes... More

Built on top of the mountain and by far my favorite place to ski in the southeast. Great slopes and trails plus good shopping and dining.

My family stayed here for three days. None of us had been skiing before. My husband and I took lessons and we put two of our kids in ski school. Since we had never been before, I don't have anything to compare it to. We had lots of fun learning to ski and by the end of the third day,... More
