Start with an 11,000 acre playground serving up the best of the mountains, however you like it. Your days here are like having dessert first. Our Village is situated atop the mountain and gives you access to spa-ing, shopping and even dancing. It all feels better at 4,848 feet.

Nice summer getaway but poor communication by staff

The village was nice. We booked a condo and it was in beautiful condition at Allegheny Springs. Lots of stuff to do, especially for kids. Rained on Saturday for the festival but... read more

Plenty to do in the summer, however, the difficulty of getting there far outweighs the benefits IMO. Whether it is Rt 92 or Rt 219 both are nothing but switchbacks and bad roads, min of 1 1/2 or 2 hours from I 64. Unless you are there for a week a few days is not worth the effort given the... More

My wife and I rented a studio at Snowshoe Mountain Resort from August 1-8. We really enjoyed this place as the cool mountain air helped make a week of summer evenings really comfortable. The room was clean and well-appointed. It was a studio unit, which meant that it was not really meant for more than two people. There were some... More

The village was nice. We booked a condo and it was in beautiful condition at Allegheny Springs. Lots of stuff to do, especially for kids. Rained on Saturday for the festival but did not dampen the excitement. Our only problem was it seemed that the communication between the staff was poor and the communication between the staff and us seemed... More

One of the best places to snow ski in the East. Lots of natural snow, long runs, and the town is on top of the mountain, not the bottom

This was our first visit to Snowshoe Mountain resort and it was in August. It provided the whole entire family a weekend of fun. Making the kids get off their phones and explore the many summer activities available. From the lake filled with paddle boards, kayaks and an inflatable area the kids had to be pulled out of the water... More

This is an amazing place to visit. Considering Appalachian poverty and then this resort just pops up, astounding. Built on top (West) of Cheat Mountain and it's like a story book setting. Everything is in its place and all is clean. Amazing to see.

While it is a bit remote and very secluded snowshoe mountain resorts is absolutely beautiful. We went for a family members wedding and had a lovely time. The wedding was gorgeous and the temperature on the mountain was amazing. I highly recommend the cheat mountain pizza company and staying at the expedition!

We stayed at the Alleghany. There was only maid service if you stay more than 3 nights. We had to ask the front desk for clean towels and had to put the trash out in the hall where even than it was not picked up for over a day. The facility is lovely though and the pool was very nice... More

A long weekend in July at Snowshoe. Highlight: Mountain Biking. We did the 2 hour which included rentals and equipment for $49. So well worth it! Most importantly, a 30 minute lesson and then a guided ride down the mountain. Trey was our guide/instructor and he was great. 3 adults in their 50s and a 10 year old...and we all... More
