Start with an 11,000 acre playground serving up the best of the mountains, however you like it. Your days here are like having dessert first. Our Village is situated atop the mountain and gives you access to spa-ing, shopping and even dancing. It all feels better at 4,848 feet.

Arrived Friday evening. Check-in went very smoothly. Very efficient and friendly attendant. Got keys, parking passes, maps, brochures, lift tickets, rentals, lessons all at that one desk. Very quick. Stayed Thursday thru Monday at Mountain Lodge. Unit a bit tight but was OK for 4 adults and two kids. Very hot building. Turned off heat in unit upon arrival and... More

Stayed two nights at Snowshoe in January into February at Expedition Station. Even though Snowshoe had received nearly 3 feet of snow the week before due to Snowzilla, or whatever you want to call the East Coast blizzard, conditions were not incredible. Consecutive days in the 50s led to significant slushy slopes. Snowshoe is, however, the best mountain in the... More

We checked in Jan 31, 2016 for 5 nights and a 4-day ski pass. This was the weekend after they had 3 feet of snow. The temps had been warm and some rain sine the dumping. The conditions were amazingly poor and got worse each day. It rained the first 3 days and temps were 40 and above. The third... More

I returned to Snowshoe after ten years of skiing elsewhere and found that my experience was worse this time around. 1) Lodging- Although we looked only a week or two before our visit, there were NO available and relatively affordable options anywhere close to the resort. We ended up staying an hour away in Elkins, WV. This place is very... More

Geographically positioned to pull skiers from several metro areas, Weekends are crowded & there are very crazy lines to catch a lift, any lift. 20+ min. The lift tickets are top prices in the east, hOwEvEr, on line tickets are 50% off. So make that discount pay for lunch. One skier was airlifted out on the Saturday we first visited... More

We love to ski here: the snow and trails can't be beat, especially Cup Run. They need a few more detachable quad lifts and to expand some runs to accommodate the crowds and reduce wait times at key places. Silver Creek is OK for learners but we never go there anymore. It's so expensive we can only splurge once a... More

The green runs seems pretty decent, but was only able to do a few runs because of the obnoxiously long wait for the ski lift. Once on it, they are quick. It is doubtful that tomorrow (a Saturday) will be any better. They need to find a way to expedite the lines or evenly distribute skiers across the ski lifts... More

While at the Greenbrier, we took a day trip to Snowshoe. The temperature was 2* that day and it was very windy, but the sun was bright and the sky was so blue. We are not skiers, but we watched with enthusiasm people of all ages on the slopes. We had lunch at The Junction which was very tasty and... More

3 days of skiing during the big snow storm of 2016. Great conditions on the mountain. Really enjoy the mountain and the option to ski at Silver Creek as well.
