Stopped in Shepherdstown after completing the Junior Ranger badge at Antietam. Enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local cafe then drove to check out the Main Street. We stopped here and were very pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of local and American made art and gifts! Brenda was super helpful, too! Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

This shop was quite interesting with art worth taking the time to check out. There was everything from wood and pottery to clothing.

I'm not a big travel shopper. There are plenty of great shops where I live, with all manner of gifts and tchotkes you can buy--but this gift shop has some truly unique--without being um, gloppy--items. A nice place to pick up some sweet gifts for friends and family back home, and just a nice place to drop in.

Nicely curated inventory of American crafts. Reasonable prices and beautiful work, ranging from ceramics and wood to jewelry and clothing.

The original displays in the front of this store and the ‘Handmade in America’ signs are what beckoned me in. Once inside, you won’t know where to direct your attention first!

There is just so much to see here and thankfully not run-of-the-mill arts and crafts. If you want something unique from your vacation or visit to Shepherdstown, then this is the place to get it!

So many artisans are represented here and you will definitely find something to satisfy your indulgences! My weakness is for handmade jewellery and body products and I was able to find both here, including divine body lotions made in Idaho.

It’s great that they help support and promote American crafting and artisan communities. I’d much rather part with my money in a place like this than in a mall outlet or a main street franchise.

If you love pretty, handmade things, then you’ve got to patronise this lovely little shop!

The merchandise is personally selected by Merydith and Deb. The selections include ceramics, paintings, jewelry, leather, metal work, glass, wood both exotic and more readily available. This shop is a favorite place to browse to lift the spirit but buying and taking the items home lifts the heart.

We live near by and visit the shop often. We are never disappointed with a visit.

Very nice American craft gallery. Unique and top-notch. Prices are reasonable too. A must if you are visiting Shepherdstown, Charlestown, or Harper's Ferry.

What a fun shop, if your looking for something that is unusal and American made this little gem is for you. Well displayed and a terrific assortment, no big box stuff here. Plan to go back in December to do a little Christmas shopping.

We visit often, selecting special gifts for family because the offerings are all American made and chosen by the owners when they meet up with artists. This past weekend the window display reminded us of Constitution Week Sept 16-23, a timely promotion and good one for a retail establishment to take up space.

When we need a gift for a special occasion, we are rarely disappointed at Dickinson & Wait. The place is full of unique, handcrafted items, some of which are by local artisans. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
