I initially heard about this property from a WV newsletter. It is off the beaten path but the price is right - free (donations gladly accepted). It is a self-guided tour through reconstructed/re-located buildings from other WV locales to make a village. Their collections are...More

A lot of history is represented here in museum of US Navy Posters. The museum is located at the bottom level of the Lowe Inn and is very comprehensive in its content of US Navy posters and some memorabelia. Sort of a one-of-a-kind museum.

Came here the day before the Festival and there was NO ONE here, even in the Gift Shop. Walked ourselves around with the map. Had some really interesting exhibits. Also, was free.

There is so much West Virginia history to see in several original buildings that have been moved to the site. There is also a museum filled with taxidermy animals-including a two headed calf- and a new museum with even more animals and you can't beat...More

This place is neat. Been a couple of times now. Great old school and church buildings/homes on site with history. In September they host a hayride and music during mothman festival. There is a little store and a kitchen with snack food items.
