Beartown State Park is an interesting area. Nice walk between large rock formations and over deep crevices. The area is mostly shaded which makes it nice even in summer. A boardwalk and a few easy steps make it accessible to most people.

The 1/2 mile boardwalk is a great little walk through split boulders, over ferns, and in wonderful shade. Well worth a visit!

We toured this amazing geological park and it's so different from anything else we had seen in the area. It's an easy walk for families or anyone who might find typical hiking difficult.

Rather than a viewing deck, most of the "trail" is a boardwalk through the rock formations. There are a few areas where you can walk on the ground, and the entrance road is walkable.
