People make or break every experience and the nice lady who welcomed us was a treasure. She gave us great advice on what to see and we took it. Everything she suggested was wonderful. Great facilities here! Stop in! Free WiFi too!

More souvenirs, please
Oct 2019
We stopped in for information. No West VA maps available. You need more souvenir selection, such as items made from coal, postcards of WV, magnets, patches, etc.

Thank you for visiting, and we appreciate the feedback. Agreed, the WV state map is a very popular tool for travelers; we've certainly made it a priority to get them back in stock. And we have some new ideas brewing for souvenirs as we like to also feature items that are made regionally. We hope you stop back in if you're ever in the area.

Your adventure starts here

We knew nothing about the community prior to coming here and really just got lucky that we saw it when we did. Inside this building are staff members familiar with all sorts of things to do, places to eat, and things to see. These guys are awesome and they can plan way more stuff than you will have time to devote - to be sure.

Helpful and nice

Since we had not visited Lewisburg before, we made sure to stop in here and see what was around the area that we may not have discovered in our internet searches. Turns out more things than we thought. Once the gentleman at the desk found out what our interests were, he gave us brochures to several area attractions, and sure enough, we decided that some we hadn't heard of before and had not been on our agenda, suddenly got priority. Really happy we stopped in here because it was a definite plus in guiding our schedule in the area. Thanks!

Clean Restrooms!
Oct 2018 • Couples
I'll be honest, we just slipped in here during TOOT - Taste of Our Town event - to use the restrooms. They were very clean despite it being a very busy day for them with thousands of people participating in the festival. That impressed me. Enjoyed looking at the seasonal artwork by regional artists as well. Very nice facility.

Worth Stopping In
Oct 2017 • Couples
I always think the visitor's center is a necessity .
This is a very large facility located in downtown .Lewisburg , W . Va .
It has a small museum and local art on the walls .
You can pick up a lot of brochures for everything from attractions to restuarants to lodging .
There were 2 people on duty the day we stopped in .
The lady in there did her best to help us .
We were looking for the best foliage and she called several other locations to check for us but there was no foliage anywhere .
They also gave us recommendations for lunch .
It was worth the stop .

Thank you for letting others know about the visitors center. Fall foliage can sometimes be tricky, but we're glad to hear you were able to enjoy your visit none-the-less.

The Location for Information
Oct 2017 • Couples
Like all of my trips, I do a lot of on-line research and peruse the articles from travel magazines that I collected over the years. In addition, I like to visit the Convention & Visitor Bureau's in the towns or cities we visit. We met two lovely ladies, Rita and Dee, at the Greenbrier County CVB in Lewisburg WV. The office is located in downtown Lewisburg on W. Washington St. and housed in a building that was formerly a department. The Visitor Center is very spacious, well lighted, with a plethora of information from flyers, magazines and books. The ladies were invaluable with information and suggestions for the area. I encourage everybody, who is visiting the area, to utilize this free service. If you are curious, you might inquire as to which of the ladies is distantly related to the "the man in black".
