The self guided tour is great for kids, not too long or dangerous. Walkways with rails and signs. Lighted up, not too dark at all. Parents, don't be afraid to take the kids based on others reviews of the 4 hr tour, u can choose the short tour. I took a 13, 9, and 1 year old that i held.... More

Really enjoyed the caverns! We spent 45 minutes on a self-guided tour. It was not a hard walk but could be slippery in spots. Wear shoes that can get dirty. Well worth the time. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the dogs! There are picnic tables if you pack a lunch or snack. There is also a very nice gift shop.... More

This is truly one of the best side trips ever. Without a doubt the best $12 ever spent. Absolutely beautiful with an element of history and education. Steve was a wealth of knowledge and extremely friendly. I expected a hokey tourist trap and was totally surprised. For the younger and more adventurous plan on the all day tour.

High ratings for fun on this trip! Our guides Emily and Kyle were great and the kids and adults alike loved everything about it...especially getting muddy to the core...

Just the right size for a cave tour, not too challenging for an middle aged couple with a 6-year old grandson who was thrilled with it all. The gift shop is more like a museum; we could spend hours just in it!

We went here on a Saturday in July. It was about 85 degrees outside but of course in the cave it was a balmy 52! It's quite a hike down into the cavern itself but well worth it. We went on the self-guided tour and it took about 45 minutes. Beautiful stalagmites and stalactites and yes, if you've forgotten that... More

Beautiful formations and large rooms. I appreciate being able to go at our own pace and taking as many pictures as we wanted. Like all caves it is very cool. This one I would guess low to mid 50's. Some water will drip on you, cave kisses. Some slippery areas so wear shoes with traction. Cost, reasonable $13 adults $7... More

Cool place for an hour to hour and a half stop. Not too hard to find but definitely out in the hills. Don't be afraid to miss it because it is out from town a ways. Make sure you have good walking shoes and they are are non slip. There is a lot of stairs also. Just plan ahead and... More
