Well worth the visit. The self guided tour was wonderful. The cavern is a must see when visiting Lewisburg. Also free to the public is a world class fossil collection.

I expected a hoke tourist trap. What I discovered was a lovely self guided tour that was neither touristy or hokie. The lighting in the caverns allowed for photography, there were informative signs, and the formations were amazing. I met Stee, the owner, and his...More

We enjoyed the cave. The trip is self-guided. Signs describe a few formations. Several steps. Paths were fine, although there were a few that were a little bigger than the others. The cave is very wet. Be sure to wear shoes that have some traction!...More

I enjoy walking through limestone caves with stalagmite and stalactite formations with lighting highlighting the formations. My wife doesn't like caves, but decided after reading a number of reviews to try it. We both enjoyed the visit. Nearly all of the caverns I've visited have...More

This place is around 2.5 miles away from main street. The caves were cold inside as they are below the ground level. Lights are adequate and all the information is available on the boards. Very well maintained for the tourists and visitors. The staff here...More

I would have to agree with all the recommendations NOT to bring your dog into the caverns. It was very slippery and she could easily hurt herself.

The tour would be fine for a 5 year old with supervision. We take several kindergarten classes on a regular basis for school field trips every year and they all walk the entire tour with no problem.
