We almost missed this most amazing place. When I saw that it was so small, I thought it would not be worth the time or the 50 mile drive from where we were camped. Thanks to the wonderful reviewers on Trip Advisors, we decided to give it a shot. And we are so thrilled that we did. First of all,... More

This was wonderful! It's perfect for a self led tour. Just the right length and so beautiful. There's a little of everything in there so go see it. It's good for a first cave experience for children, and you can teach them how to be responsible in a cave.

Very surprised that this tour was self guided. It is reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are also 3 dogs that hang out in the visitors center and in the cave. We met Cocoa down in the cavern, she greeted us and walked through a good portion of the trail with us until she spotted... More

The caverns are fun, reasonably priced, and the staff is great. The rock shop there is run by a guy (Steve, the owner) who is really into rocks, and knows his stuff. You'll need to ask him about some of his material that is not on open display to see everything available. He's very friendly, and won't mind at all,... More

We went on the self guided tour and were amazed at the many different formations and interesting sights. You have to watch your step as it is a bit slippery and definitely bring a sweater!

My daughters first time in a cave. Well worth the detour off the interstate on our way to the coast. Glad we stopped. Staff was very friendly.

On the 16th of July my grandson and I visited Lost World Caverns in Lewisburg, WV and found it to be as advertised, if not more. True, the cave is about the length of two football fields, which doesn't sound like much of a tour, but it is the awsomeness when you first enter that amazes and delights. The cave... More

The self guided tour was fantastic. We were able to go at our own pace and take time to look the wonderful cave features. Learned much from the owner after the trip was over. Take some time and explore this cave.

Rural road access. Alpacas and goats. Water wheel near entrance. Nice staff. Neat variety of geology and archaeology souvenirs. Mini-museum including dinosaur bones/displays. And that's even before you enter the unique underground caverns. It is about a 45 minute self-guided tour (but you can stay as long as you want) with numerous signs explaining the various well-lit natural formations. They... More

Well worth the visit. The self guided tour was wonderful. The cavern is a must see when visiting Lewisburg. Also free to the public is a world class fossil collection.
