The museum is an interesting compilation of railroad artifacts, a very significant amount contributed by local families whose family members worked for the C&O railroad. Events of historical significance are documented by photographs taken by locals. Although our host was very good, we did miss...More

The Museum was closed for the season when we visited, but we looked through the windows and saw what promises to be an enjoyable, enlightening visit when we return to visit friends who live in Glade Springs, WV. I was disappointed to see the Museum...More

If you're in the area downtown Hinton is worth the trip. The Railroad Museum is a must stop for those with an interest in old time railroading. It's free but do leave a donation.

The railroad museum opened our eyes to what life was like when the town was a hub and hopping. Really brought home what happens in an area with one big employer when that employer leaves.

We were so surprised by all of the info on the railroad in this little museum. The lady who founded it was very knowledgeable and was eager to share. It was free with donations accepted.

Visited while waiting to reboard the New River Train Excursion. Lots of historical information to digest and not enough time that day. The museum volunteers were very friendly and informative, especially the older gentlemen who used to operate the telegraph and teletype systems.
