Decided to make a day trip over to check this place out. It was almost like being at your own private zoo. There are two lookouts where you can observe deer and buffalo. After that there is a 1.5 mile hike through the woods where...More

A great place to go get some exercise and see some wild life. We got to see the otters at feeding time which was fun. A lot of the animals were being lazy and we decided the ground hog was in protective custody since winter...More

Enjoyed the setting, a trail through the woods, visited in the off season in February but still was able to see all the animals except the cougar. Would definitely recommend for families with young children.

We went to the Wildlife Center on the first warm and sunny day in February. There is no charge to visit until April, when the weather is generally warmer and more animals could be seen. Some of the exhibits were without their inhabitants-otter, reptiles and...More

Takes about an hour to visit. All exhibits are outdoors. Gift shop with food. Not expensive. Often hard to see animals.

Every time my son and his family comes in we take the 1.25 walk through the game center. There are lots of animals to see, each with learning plaques about the critters. Great for wheelchairs/strollers. There are shelters with seats scattered throughout the path. Very...More

We stopped in to the WV State Wildlife Center to visit the animals. It's a great little stop for an hour or so (about a mile walk) for little ones to see some animals. There are about 15 animals to see and our daughter loved...More

I did not see any when i was there. I did notice a very shaded area where you could park an leave windows open. I too have a dog, but I left him home when I went. I only live about 2 miles from the center.
