Clean rooms, amazing staff, and beautiful views. We come every summer and love the friendly down home feel with the comfort of a resort.

We rode the ski lift up in July. Nice! They give a 60+ discount so hubby got that. It was breezy and comfortable. Nice ride. We walked around up top, went down a cross country ski trail, and took pics. Refreshing!!

Very nice facility. Breakfast not included. There is a dining room and a cafe. I would suggest taking something quick to eat in a cooler if you can. This place is not very close to any stores. You have to drive a little distance for one.

We stopped here (per recommendation of TripAdvisor). This place was outdated fur sure but CLEAN. We were only there overnight. However, mattress was a bit worn as my daughter and I were constantly bumping into each other in the middle throughout the night. Food: We ate next door (no restaurant on sight) at Big John's (writing separate review for that).... More

We had dinner at the resorts restaurant. Causal clothing. Beautiful views of the mountains. Food was plentiful and average in quality. Buffet not as good as those in my party who ordered alacart. They use to do a prime rib buffet but have changed this. They need to go back to it and get rid of the oregano which every... More

A weekend getaway to attend a friends wedding resulted in an great time. At a general West Virginia slower pace, the lodge is relaxing and spacious. Remodeled rooms are tasteful. The staff is helpful. Food is good with standard bar and hotel menu options. NOTE: they do not accommodate special diets. The wedding was flawlessly executed at the ski lodge.... More

What a lovely spot in West Virginia. The high Appalachians off in the distance and beautiful views of the valley on one side of the resort extending for miles. There's a lovely golf course, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and lots of older couples with binoculars and camera is looking for our feathered friends. As I write this, there is... More

Visited Canaan Valley Resort state park in early April. While not spring yet (snow fell all evening) ski season was over as the snow pack was long gone but it was not mountain bike season yet and several of the trails were a muddy mess. The park does rent out mountain bikes to try on the trails when they're dry... More

We appreciate your visit to Canaan Valley Resort earlier this month. April weather here in the mountains can allow for all types of weather in one day and snow is not uncommon some years. Due to the weather our trails can be muddy during this time of year but come dryer weather are very enjoyable. For future visits I did... More
