Canaan Valley Resort is a lovely facility! Beautifully remodeled in 2013, it is clean, updated, and offers spacious rooms. Choosing an upper level, balcony room is the way to go. Beautiful views during any season! We enjoyed watching young deer seemingly play catch/tag for over an hour one evening. Lots of wildlife and VERY peaceful! The food on property is... More

We stopped just to eat and shop and look for the tame deer that are all over the property. The food was a bit pricey -- but they gave you SO MUCH FOOD that it would have been worth it if we were bigger eaters.

Poorly maintained cabins. No proper basic amenities like dish washer, washing machine or dryer. Restroom/Bathroom is smaller than caravan restroom/bathroom. Very poorly maintained cabins(you feel the smell). AC/heater makes so much noise.. it will hardly allow you to sleep. unclean kitchen items and with less utensils. Overall I would have given less than one if there is an option to do.

We camped at the Canaan Resort Campground for a four day weekend. The campsites are shady but very small and close together. The bath house was in serious need of cleaning, we made do with outdoor, cold showers rather use them. Pool is very nice but again locker rooms needed cleaning. Staff was very nice.

This resort is truly lovely & the grounds are breathtaking. The only thing stopping me from providing a 5 star rating is the food & drinks. The tables in the dining area were sticky as though they weren't properly cleaned (yet at breakfast the next morning it was the same condition). We ordered a dirty martini and a Cosmo. What... More

We stayed in the campground here which was quite lovely. We really enjoyed all the deer and the cute little skunk who was out beside the road. We rode the skyline to the top and hiked down. It was a nice hike, the last part was rather steep going down. Our toes where running up against the ends of our... More

Clean rooms, amazing staff, and beautiful views. We come every summer and love the friendly down home feel with the comfort of a resort.

We rode the ski lift up in July. Nice! They give a 60+ discount so hubby got that. It was breezy and comfortable. Nice ride. We walked around up top, went down a cross country ski trail, and took pics. Refreshing!!

Very nice facility. Breakfast not included. There is a dining room and a cafe. I would suggest taking something quick to eat in a cooler if you can. This place is not very close to any stores. You have to drive a little distance for one.
