We camped at the Canaan Resort Campground for a four day weekend. The campsites are shady but very small and close together. The bath house was in serious need of cleaning, we made do with outdoor, cold showers rather use them. Pool is very nice but again locker rooms needed cleaning. Staff was very nice.

This resort is truly lovely & the grounds are breathtaking. The only thing stopping me from providing a 5 star rating is the food & drinks. The tables in the dining area were sticky as though they weren't properly cleaned (yet at breakfast the next morning it was the same condition). We ordered a dirty martini and a Cosmo. What... More

We stayed in the campground here which was quite lovely. We really enjoyed all the deer and the cute little skunk who was out beside the road. We rode the skyline to the top and hiked down. It was a nice hike, the last part was rather steep going down. Our toes where running up against the ends of our... More

Clean rooms, amazing staff, and beautiful views. We come every summer and love the friendly down home feel with the comfort of a resort.

We rode the ski lift up in July. Nice! They give a 60+ discount so hubby got that. It was breezy and comfortable. Nice ride. We walked around up top, went down a cross country ski trail, and took pics. Refreshing!!

Very nice facility. Breakfast not included. There is a dining room and a cafe. I would suggest taking something quick to eat in a cooler if you can. This place is not very close to any stores. You have to drive a little distance for one.

We stopped here (per recommendation of TripAdvisor). This place was outdated fur sure but CLEAN. We were only there overnight. However, mattress was a bit worn as my daughter and I were constantly bumping into each other in the middle throughout the night. Food: We ate next door (no restaurant on sight) at Big John's (writing separate review for that).... More

We had dinner at the resorts restaurant. Causal clothing. Beautiful views of the mountains. Food was plentiful and average in quality. Buffet not as good as those in my party who ordered alacart. They use to do a prime rib buffet but have changed this. They need to go back to it and get rid of the oregano which every... More

A weekend getaway to attend a friends wedding resulted in an great time. At a general West Virginia slower pace, the lodge is relaxing and spacious. Remodeled rooms are tasteful. The staff is helpful. Food is good with standard bar and hotel menu options. NOTE: they do not accommodate special diets. The wedding was flawlessly executed at the ski lodge.... More
